Default Harrington to Denver?

Al Harrington is reportedly about to fire his agent and being negotiations all over again. The Denver Post reports that the Nuggets are interested and could attempt some sort of sign-and-trade.

This sounds like another case of the rumor mill getting me all fired up about something (i.e. AI) for no good reason. I can't imagine the Nuggets working anything out to get Harrington, but even if we did, how would it work?

Harrington's a stud, but would he fit in with the Nuggets? Where would he play here? Does anyone know about his game?

You don't really need another front court player, unless it's a sign and trade with Kmart going the other way, which I can't imagine Atlanta wanting that contract. Also, Harrington is very similar to Carmelo. He's a bit taller and not as talented, but his game allows him to hold his own at the 4 spot. Defensively he's horrible in terms of intimidation (shot blocking).

his attitude makes his game a lot stronger than Kmart's, if Kmart was moved for Harrington, i think that would be a steal for Denver. Kmart needs to be moved he just will not fit in to The nuggets system, give him a team like ATL to start in fresh were he can be dominate and Harrington could have a chance to make a major playoff run with a very young and talented frontcourt alonside melo and Nene.

I don't think I want Kenyon gone anymore. And I don't think anyone else wants him right now. But if they did a sign and trade with Atlanta, that would work for everyone I think. ATL would get an enforcer who could maul those Eastern conference PF's, and the Nuggets would get a big man who could shoot from outside, which Karl really wants.

How does Harrington get his points? He makes a decent amount of three's...

I don't think any of this would happen, but it's interesting.

I think if Denver would get Harrington it would be very interesting. Would he back up the 4 and 3 spots or would he start at the 3 with Melo at the 2? I think he would be a nice addition to the team but i think it would be complicating unless K-Mart will be moved.

I don't think anyone in Denver is stupid enough to suggest they move their franchise player out of his natural position. Melo will be playing the 3 next year no matter who they get....
