Deng will start. Noc has proved he can perform either off the bench or starting. Lu much prefers to start. I see Lu starting at SF then Noc subbing in for him, when Lu comes back in Noc will slide over to the 4.
Do you know Luol? How do you know this? Because the Bulls experience with most Dukies is that they do whatever it takes to help the team win. That's why Paxson likes to draft them.
And how has Deng not proven he can do it off the bench? look at his stats from last season. i think he's proven for 2 years now that he can play very well off of the bench.
The philosophy Skiles and Paxson run has everything to do with Defense. That means Nocioni is a lock to start the season. However, from there it's anyone's guess.
PG: Kirk Hinrich
SG: Ben Gordon
SF: Andres Nocioni
PF: P.J. Brown
C: Ben Wallace
actually yea i do. I met the guy when he was over in Brixton earlier this summer. Plus it does'nt take a genius to notice he plays his best as a starter. Noc does'nt seem to give a stuff whether he's starting or not.
I think the starters should be :
Kirk at PG
Noc at SG
Luol at SF
PJ at PG
Ben at C
That's an interesting thought, but I don't think it will happen. If Nocioni gets SG minutes, that takes away from the minutes Gordon and Sefolosha should be getting. Also, who would the backup SF be, Khryapa? I'd rather give Gordon plenty of minutes and have either Deng or Nocioni off the bench, unless they want to really go small and start one of those two at the PF.
I mean, I'm not totally aware of wats going on with the bulls but I would think they would want a guy like nocioni coming off the bench who can cause serious matchup problems with he being able to play both inside and out.
noch is 6'8" and not fast. there is absolutly no wya he plays ANY MINUTES IN HIS CARREER at shooting gaurd. ESPECIALLY WITH GORDON SEFOLOSHA AND GRIFFIN AHEAD OF HIM, hes not quick enough . hes definatly a SF maybe a PF when we go small. like last year we went small a lot and had him at PF. I say he starts at SF and bring deng off the bench.
thats my take on it. i think sweets is our only low post guy (sad, i kno) PJ Malik and everyone else are all mid range guys who can run pick and rolls and shoot the 12-15 footers. Sweets is our only banger down low.
PG: Hinrich Duhon
SG: Gordon Sefolosha Griffin
PF: Nocioni Thomas Sweetney
C: Wallace Brown Allen
This has to be it. I can't see them bringing Nocioni off the bench although it is possible. Wallace is perfect to play next to Nocioni. Wallace is the best weakside help defender. He can slide over and swat some shots for Nocioni. Nocioni played great last year against Miami in the playoffs. This also allows for a solid back up for Wallace in P.J. Brown. He's 37 and we don't need him playing starter minutes. We need Brown to be fresh for the playoffs. Maybe even Deng will come off the bench. We'll see.
