Deng would be lucky to start on the Lakers.

Take Odom off of the Lakers, put Deng in, you think Deng would come off the bench? Lol, why am I wasting my time.

Sadly, I'm actually in agreement with him. Odom, I feel, is a better scorer and rebounder than Deng, despite the PPG differential.

It all depends on what team you are playing for. Certain players can become drastically better if they were traded to a more suitable team. The bulls have been struggling all year and especially in the beginning of the season players like Deng werent giving 100%, so his numbers would probably be better. I for one believe that Deng would do great on the lakers and easily be a more effective player than Odom.

Whoever the 2nd options are on the T-Wolves, Sonics, Bucks, Clips, and 76ers...

Deng is a joke compared to Odom. Most people have already figured this out.

if i'm getting it right, BULLS thinks that it's easier to get points from within trash offense than from within great offense.

can it get worse from this? deng and odom are pretty much comparable, and i understand that someone thinks of odom as better, but this argument is just...wow.

Odom would easily be the most talented player on the Bulls.

It's called padding your stats. Some players aren't as good as their numbers indicate, which applies to Deng.

Joe Johnson's roll changed. he went from a thrid option on a team with tons of scorers to a first option on a less talented team, ofcourse his scoring is going to increase because it has to. thats not stat padding.

Odom could easily average 20 ppg on garbage like Chicago. It's similar to what Rose did when he was here.

he went from being a fourth option to a first one. no such thing with odom and deng. did i say that joe johnson is better than deng? no. hawks are even higher in the standings than the bulls this year, and are right now a better offensive team.

thing is, if you actually watched games, you'd know that how much easier is to get good shots from lakers offense, than it's from bulls offense. lakers have kobe and all defenses focus on him. bulls haven't got even one GREAT scoring threat (deng may be the biggest one) to take the attention away, and they play 4 on 5 offense for most of the time because of ben wallace. so much harder to get quality looks next to gordon than next to kobe. so much harder to score within skiles/boylan's offense than within phil's offense.
plus there is the tempo of the game, lakers obviously play at a faster pace, equaling bigger scorelines.

but again, if you watched basketball and didn't draw all of your knowledge from boxscores, you'd know all of this already. i'm not arguing who is better, i think it's a tossup. but your argument for odom is just retarded.

LMFAO at odom > deng

Odom is garbage, but as mentioned, when the Lakers are healthy, Bynum is now the second option. Besides, Odom isnt really even an "option" as if they specifically go to him and use him as a weapon. He just kind of floats around and picks up whatever scraps happen to come his way. Hey when you put someone 6'10 with a supposedly decent jumpshot on the floor for 37 minutes and you have kobe bryant out there, you're gonna end up with some numbers. It's not the result of Odom being aggressive or efficient or even good. 6'10 guys in the D-league could put up Odom's numbers playing out there with Kobe Bryant.

Before this little run of success the Lakers had been trying to trade Odom for two years and couldnt get a food stamp for him.
