This is the guy that traded one of the best centers ever and did not get
a single all star for his team.
He got a pothead inconsistent player who often disapeers in games while being blessed with great skills (Odom). And other player with great potential named Caron Butler. He then traded Butler , who would make the all star game two seasons later , for one of the biggest busts in NBA history : Kwame Brown , also know as Butter Fingers and Wussy.
For those who praise him for drafting Bynum , know that Bynum was Jimmy Buss personal project, not Kupchak.
He made some good draft choices though with Turiaf and Farmar.
Don't forget tha he spent the MLE in three straight seasons with the following players : a 100 year old Divac, a 70 year old Mckey and the Snowboard space cadet (Radmanovich).

My main thing is these dudes come with the same excuse-laden BS every year and when you try to call them out, MODS want to start deleting posts and banning accounts. But yet, threads like these remain.
Laker fans have no direction with their rooting interests other than applauding anything Kobe does. Everything else is subject to be criticized at a drop of a dime. 10 games ago everyone was praising him for collecting together a fantastic group of players to make the lakers relevant again. Hello, do injuries mean anything to you guys? We've only had 10 guys suited until just recently when we signed DJ. We're missing our best perimeter and interior defenders, one of our shooters and a back-up C, not to mention second scorer.
Losing to three of the top teams in the league (DAL, PHX, SA) while keeping the game competetive is not a bad showing if you ask me. Let's wait and see how the mega roadie goes. We're playing some struggling teams, and I think Lakers will be able to win over half the games which should be sufficient till the others get back.
