You cant even argue who got the better end of this trade. Its crap for crap and each crap has a file called "potential to do something if if if and if"
The difference is that one was underused (Humphries), and one was, as many would argue, overused (due to Rob Babcock pretty much telling Mitchell to play Hoffa more) and clearly doesn't fit in Toronto's future system of run and gun. Utah is a better place for Hoffa's game, and Toronto is a better place for Humphries' game (any place other than Utah, pretty much).
The point is that improvment for each player is probably a guarantee, because I don't think it could have got any worse for each.
Ostertag's heir, apparently. Sloan loves having a big ass guy on his team to just flatten people. Araujo can do that much. I'd say Raptors got ripped in this trade. Hoffa with coaching could at least be an NBA-quality guy good for a few minutes of night and some toughness. Humphries? Come on, he's clearly never going to turn into anything and besides, he's a skinny 6'11 guy with long arms... as if the Raptors need another one of these? I'd have gotten a second round pick if I could.
GeeWiz just proves he's just trying to stir up shit and doesn't know anything.
Kris Humphries isn't a "6'11'' guy with long arms." He is 6'8''-6'9'' and ripped. He is a big guy for his height and VERY athletic.
But I agree with GoBB, this trade barely even deserves a thread. The only reason it has one is because all the Raptor fans wanted to see Hoffa go. Kris, Whaley, Hoffa . . . they'll all be 12th men for the rest of their careers. That's if they even last in the NBA.
whys everyone hating on araujo, on his "day" he was 14 and 14 player with a couple of asissts, 3 steals and 2 blocks to go with it
he was a "beast" i reckon he will be alright in utah, as he wont be getting booed to death and he is to offense what jaron collins is to defense (or vise versa) so he might do average and prove himself to be a 5 and 5 guy, and make us look silly
good luck haffa
(but i whish us more luck with humphries yay BC's a legend)
