I wouldn't trade J Smith for anyone on the Lakers not named Kobe Bryant.

Stupid for both sides. Ariza and Smith are redundant and the Hawks don't want or need Lamar.

Farmar and Ariza for Smith and filler

is far more realistic but still wouldn't happen.

I guess Smith and Ariza could be looked at as redundant with Smith being about twice as good in every aspect. Smith would be the perfect 4 to put beside Bynum because he doesn't need to operate in the post to give Bynum room to operate and he is an excellent shot blocker and rebounder. Won't happen though unless the Hawks management is too cheap to re-sign Smith, and then with Odom's contract expiring after the 09 season I could see the Hawks exploring this package but the Lakers would probably have to include a 1st round pick along with Odom and Farmar.

Unless someone offers him 100 million dollars, there is no way Josh Smith leaves atlanta. The same for Marvin Williams. The only hawks trade bait is

Shelden Williams
Zaza Pachulia
Tyronne Lue
Anthony Johnson
Josh Childress (Reluctantly)
Salim Stoudamire
Lorenzen Wright

I think what will probably happen will be a combo Shelden, Childress and Lo Wright for Gasol or Childress and Zaza for Andre Miller.

This really has nothing to do with the topic, but J-Smoove is by and far the worst nickname that I've ever heard.

I hope you're right because I love Atlanta and would be nice to see them build a winner, but after the problems the Joe Johnson signing caused I still won't believe it until I see it.
