i thought he was a true PG but just bigger like shawn livingston, but he can play both positions as he can shoot lights out aswell, heard hes got a great 3 point shot

Actually, he's a scoring PG so he can play both positions effectively because he's a scorer and a PG. He's a PG but he has the size to play the SG....not yet but he will when he bulks up.
He's 6'5", maybe even 6'6".
He's a PG for now but when he bulks up, he could be like Manu.
His shooting is good..not great though...so you heard wrong.
He's the real deal though.

I could be wrong, but I'm pretty sure that when he signed his contract it was for 4 years, with a buyout availabe after the 2nd year. So if that is the case, then he wouldn't be able to come over for this coming season.

Though, I'm not 100% sure on that.
You're right.
ISH, he's not ready yet. He should work on his game in Europe.
Right now, he'd average like 5 ppg and 2 apg. He still has holes in his game. For example, off the ball movement.
He needs to add more pounds and fix the holes in his game and he"ll be great..
Another year in Europe will do him good...if he starts getting more PT which he deserves.
If we could bring him over, I'd so it. Why not mature here? I think we should throw him to the lions, seeing as how he would really only be a bonus for us. Why not go double or nothing? Counting on him isn't a good idea.

Roko has a buyout clause in his contract. He can choose to leave on his own accord. If he would want to leave right now, the buyout (I think) is about $1.5 million. The Raptors can only help pay for one-third of the buyout, and it would be up to Roko to pay the rest. So, in essence the Raptors, if they want to bring Roko over this season, would have to give him enough money to help him pay for his side of the contract buyout.
Colangelo actually attempted to bring Ukic over THIS SEASON, a month or so ago I believe. He said that the only reason he couldn't was because of the limited space of the Raptors' 2005 MLE. Therefore, the Raptors this season have a lot of capspace to play with, and thus they don't need to rely primarily on the MLE to bring him over.
I agree with Jeff, that Roko would be a beneficiary of coming over this year, and I believe that he will. If the Raptors don't get a point guard, I wouldn't mind watching a two-man combo of Calderon and Ukic, it would be quite exciting and would help their growth as players.
The only thing that will happen is he gets experience playing against NBA caliber playing and gains weight over this year. He can also be sent to the NBDL for practice if need be.

If the Raptors plan on bringing Ukic over just to play in the NBDL, then they might aswell leave him in Europe where the competition is much higher.

Too bad Calderon can only play PG. His shooting needs A LOT OF IMPROVEMENT to play the #2. ...Unless you want to put Ukic at #2...but that would be a waste...
