Hahaha, good one. Yes, following the Big Four is moderately important here.
Here in W-S it seems that you're either for the Demon Deacs or Tarheels. Duke doesn't seem to figure in. Or if so, minorly. I never hear anyone talk about Duke. So, Timmeh. I've covered three schools. What is #4? Don't tell me it's ECU!
(I've heard that UNCC might be getting into college sports. Considering my two-week stint as a graduate student there, I might have to develop an interest in college sports. So Charlotte may be #5.)
The Big Four is UNC, Duke, Wake and NC State. UNC Charlotte plays in the Atlantic 10 conference with teams like Xavier, Dayton, George Washington and other mid-majors.
ECU...well...they may be #7 behind Davidson and Charlotte.

Okay. I didn't realize that Charlotte already plays sports. I heard/read that they were asking for money so that they could post a team.
So where are the California State University at Northridge Matadors..................: (Lost in Space???????????)
As for CS Northridge, with as many teams as there are in California, I'd say...12th?
Thanks to Wikipedia I learned that the CSUN Matadors (basketball) are an NCAA Division 1 team and part of the 9-member Big West Conference made up only of California schools.
On another note UNCC's basketball team was featured with a picture and article on the front page of the sports section of today's Winston-Salem Journal. That's our daily newspaper.
It will be interesting to see how much snow we get in different parts of NC between now and Monday. I bet it will differ greatly among the cities that we ISH posters live in.
Rufus, really? We never get snow. You westerners always hog it for yourself.
The reports I saw last night looked as if the bulk of it would be between Raleigh and Charlotte, with my area getting a trace. I just looked at a report this morning, and it looks like we won't get squat, which sucks because I don't want to go to my 3 hour media writing class tomorrow.
It's nearly 2pm and so far here in western W-S we have only icy rain and just enough to cover the streets. But it's early. RufusPaul, use your influence with the politicians to move the snow my way with a little bit toward Timmeh so he has another day to work on his school projects. By the way, what RP didn't tell us is that the Bobcats have Catholic night because the Pope is coming to Charlotte. No one's supposed to know for security reasons. Seriously, one of my ladyfriends went up to Canada years ago to see the Pope and it was the highlight of her life.

A buddy of mine was in Rome years ago and did a tour of the Vatican. Just before leaving he stopped at the gift shop and bought a rosary. He stepped outside just as the "Popemobile" was making its way down the street. It stopped right infront of him and John Paul II stepped out to greet/bless anyone that was there. My friend had the rosary blessed. He gave it to my wife who in turn gave it to her mother.
It started snowing here about half-an-hour ago, at about 8pm. My husband and I wanted to build a snowman but it's going to be too cold tonight. I've heard from three friends who live in Oregon, New York and the Colorado Rockies. None of them share my excitement about the white stuff. Wonder why.......
TarCat--I miss Herrmann too but I also wonder if he would have had any place on a Larry Brown team. Any thoughts?
about 2 inches here, just enough to mess up my directv signal. has now changed over to rain. Hermann is great, but we've got a gem in Boris. In LB's system, Walter would be a solid bench player at the 4.
We've had quite a snowstorm here. Several inches of accumulation at this point--around 3am. Timmeh--hope you don't have to go to school tomorrow. Er...today.
