Hawks general manager Billy Knight, in keeping a disciplined eye on the salary cap, is asking for draft picks instead of veteran contracts in any Harrington deal, and the Pacers haven’t been able to offer the right package - all of this despite the allure of a $7.5 million trade exception that would make most deals work. Other teams - with Minnesota reportedly showing renewed interest - have re-entered the mix, guaranteeing a prolonged drama. Boston Herald
This would be great for us! This would allow Ricky Davis to move over to gaurd position! We would have hella good defense with everybody being so tall and athletic in our starting line-up...i hope we can pull this off even though I doubt it.
yeah, that is basically what will happen im guessing if it goes down. we would give up davis and either 2nd round pick next year or first round pick in 2008 i believe unless its possible for us to give up our first round pick in 2007 if we get the one of the top 3 picks because we have it so the clippers cant have our pick in 2007 if its in the top 3. I dont want to give up davis but it wouldnt totally kill us to get rid of him for harrington because we still have hassell, mccants and foye to play gaurd.
