Cool The Price of Wright

http://www.miamiherald.com/594/story/417094.html

Dorell has matured into a solid role player, yet also does something every game that makes you go 'wowee'. His development potential is fairly high as he has athletic skills, a decent J, and good rebounding. His defense is also quite solid.

His focus still seems to waver occasionally and I still see him arguing with Pat once a game or so (like he knows better).

I still think there is no doubt that the heat will pick up the $2.4m team option this season as that is a low price, quality reserve.

His last 6 games in particular have been great.

My gut feeling is that he will max out just below all star level for a couple of seasons, but otherwise he will be a solid starter for 5-8 seasons.
Season after next he will probably demand around 4 years 30 mil but I doubt we would pay that.

what do you guys predict for Mr Wright?

I think he will end up signing elsewhere after the season next. With Marion and Wade starting on the perimeter, he probably will not be getting too much time to show his worth as a $7 million+ basketball player. Maybe another team would be willing to pay that, but Miami has some talented perimeter players already. Trading him could be another possibility. I'm not sure how I feel about him; I'll have to watch more games, but if a good trade was offered, I would consider giving him up.

Wadeaminute has an OK reputation so far

I highly doubt he'll be getting that kind of money. to tell you the truth, I believe that he'll resign with Miami. He has the athleticism and defense and a pretty good J. He has shown flashes of creating with the drible and has improved his 3 point shot but in the end, it's not enough for other teams to be looking at him much. This will be our advantage as we sign him back.

I also think he will be staying due to the fact that he hasn't gotten enough exposure. In addition, I remember seeing a segment highlighting his friendship with Wade, which I'm sure would also be a factor.

It will depend on his play the rest of this season and next season I believe.
