I think it was a fine move. You can't argue with what thornton has been doing lately, and with Tim Thomas coming back last night, he still had a great game. Dropping Yi wasn't a major loss in any category.

If Thornton's mins go down in the future when Brand comes back and everyone on the Clippers is healthy, Yi or someone else will be available to grab again. Conversely, if you held Yi, Thornton would probably be gone in the near future. Even though neither player will be a superstar for you, you did well.

good 2 hear. yi might pull down a few more boards but thornton is better in every other area IMO.

Yeah, but Yi hasn't grabbed ten boards since January 27. Meanwhile Thornton has averaged 8 boards over his last four games, on top of 21 points and a myriad of other helpful things. Thornton is the much better play, at least for now. Maybe Yi can get some rest this week and come back strong after the break.

Rookies are always risky, so expect inconsistency no doubt...But with Clippers season down the gurglar, I would think Thornton should see enough minutes to be a fantasy asset for the rest of the year...Elton may come back, I find it hard to believe they would risk their franchise player for a season gone...
