Default Steve Francis a Laker?

Could Steve Francis and Kobe Bryant coexist in the same backcourt?

I say they would, but what do y'all think?

The Los Angeles Lakers would have to give up alot of pieces for Steve Francis.

I wuz just thinkin if we hadn't used that Allan Houston rule to waive Bryan Grant we could have got Francis just by offering ORL his contract and sasha or sumn, cuz all it took the knicks wuz hardaway's contract n Ariza. Grant could actually play 2 unlike Hardaway so they might have taken this deal. I kno we would have an overpriced backcourt but francis is still a decent player for what we would give them

A decent player who ruins the chemistry of any team that he's a part of. No thanks.

Im probably one of the only people who actually likes the idea. There both grown men, they could find a way to make it work.... Especially with the guidance of Phil.

I think he doesn't work w/ Marbury b/c they're like the exact same player w/ Marbury being slightly better. I mean he went to tha playoffs w/ Yao so it's not like he's not a winner in all aspects. Kobe has a nice outside game, n could benefit from Francis' penetration etc.

I agree. I also think Francis gets a really bad rap. Remember what he has been thru. First he was part of a rebuilding process in Houston (played hard, made the allstars), they finally get Yao, thinks are looking up, then he gets traded to Orlando...to another rebuilding situation. That really sucked for him. Then he got sent to a bad situation in NY.

Francis is a player. He has a lot to prove to the world...he really wants to prove he can be a winner. My only serious concern with him is his weak D.
