old yes but not bad by any stretch... slower yes but not horifficly slow, although i loved the play where odom got the rebound and pau justout ran to the other end for the easy layup..shaq was just getting acroos mid court, saw pau catch the ball and he turned around...lol

the big question i see for shaq now is can he keep up the level for the remainder of the season? he was hyped tonight had the crowd behind him and something to prove, but how long will those motivations last and does he have the gas in the tank to carry him when the final stretch comes....

but don't ever slam shaq, he brought us alot of wins and alot of good memories and desrves better from laker fans... comment on his game but be fair and unbiased...

Shaq was able to put up a decent game, but I wanna see how he looks when he has to play 4 games in 7 days and is required to play 35 minutes...

For his first game back from injury I think he played pretty good, especially with all the hype of the game. I would say he actually exceeded what most people thought he was going to do.

I actually think Shaq played pretty decent last night. He's just somewhat slower and can't get the lift that he used to. IMO, Shaq is either going to make a BIG impact for the Suns, helping them to win a lot, OR he's going to completely fall apart because of ongoing long-time injuries. I don't think there's a middle ground for him and the Suns.

I remember Charles Barkley making a comment regarding Shaq when this Shaq trade first went down. It cracked me up:

(Charles) - "I hate to tell Shaq, but when you get older it just doesn't work anymore .... that's why they created Viagra."

I actually thought Shaq looked good tonight, I don't think he will be that effective for the majority of the games especially on the 2nd night of back to back games. What worries me is Amarie who played like a beast thanks to Shaq opening things up down low. I can see these two teams in the Western Conference finals, with the Lakers advancing of course.

Shaq looked very good last night. He started out slow, but thats only bc it was his 1st game with a new team. And he really picked it up late in the game. He usually regresses as the game goes on but he was more impressive as it went on. He will provide a presence they do need and Amare has much more space to manuever with him in. He tore it up last night.

Most of the guys in the east like Lebron and D/Wade had said they was going to watch the game to see Shaq. Just wondering what's their thoughts on Mr Kobe Bryant and this current lakers squad, There performance was outstanding and this is without Bynum.

Shaq is always going to have a lot of fouls. It's part strategy because teams are going to take it to him and try to get him in foul trouble, that way they don't have to deal with him. The other part is, and this is probably my biggest pet pieve about the NBA, is the way fouls are called in the NBA is ridiculous. All the flops, the so called make-up calls, etc, etc really irratate me. I think the officiating last night was terrible, for both teams. One that I specifically remember is when Nash fell into Amare and it was a foul on the Lakers. But there were others to make up for that. The NBA really needs to think about instant replay. The fans can see a replay just moments after the play happens, the coaches and referees should be able to as well.

I personally think Shaq is old and washed up. He looks slow and can't even jump an inch off the floor. Sure he takes up some space underneath and opens things up for Amare. But I think he is more of a liability because it will be 5 on 4 against some of the faster teams in the league because he can't keep up. I realize he is coming off an injury but he has been nothing but injured the past two years. He is trying to get by on reputation instead of getting his butt to the gym and actually working out and shedding some of those pounds that are killing his knees and hips. If he can get in some kind of shape, the Suns will be hard to deal with. If not, he will be a big liability. Boris Diaw is NO Shawn Marion. Not even close. So methinks it was a bad trade for the Suns. But that is OK BY ME !!!!!!!
