After last season, so much talent, experience, scoring apility...and nothing. When you read around these forums (except knicks forum), there is not so much trust on the knicks "comeback" this season. What should the knicks lineup look like when the season starts? With or without Jeffries (miles).
My favorite lineup could be:
(pg) marbury / (robinson)
(sg) francis / crawford
(sf) j.rose / richardson
(pf) frye / lee
(c) curry / m.rose
I think Jeffries is a good pickup for the Knicks, I think he'll give the Knicks that substance they need. They need that hardworking defense/rebound/hustle plays first type of guy. Now they have two in Jeffries and Blackman and maybe three in David Lee. Now Q can go to the 2 which is more suitable for him. My lineup would be as follows
With this Roster the Knicks can do a lot of different things the can play small ball, go big and even have a defensive roster in the game with nate/collins, Q, Blackmon, Jeffries and James, may not be able to score but they are defensive
If Isiah and put the team together I think we can make the playoffs.
I think Q will start over Crawford and Francis, he's a better on the ball defender than both Crawford and Francis, he's a smarter ball player and if he gets that outside shot to drop he's just what Marbury needs. Remember Marbury and Houston or Marbury and Van Horn, drive and kick all day. I believe its a more stable backcourt. Now if Crawford would bulk up a little and continue to improve defensively and continuously knock down the open shot then start him but he's too erratic. I think Q will rebound this year. I dont think Marbury and Francis should start together, it could be deadly if one was able to let the other take the lead, but I dont think they will, which means we'd have to much of the same player on either side of the court. Also Francis cant defend. I say let his ass go and let Robinson play.
