If the Mavs actually wanted a tall stiff that can't play, they would have kept PPod. No way they go for Ramos.
For KVH's contract to have any trade value, they'd have to put a little more money then the vet minimum.
As of now, I still wanna go after Washington or Carter for the last roster spot.
Well then maybe they should have kept PPod. Where are the Mavs big men right now? Keith Van Horn is useless, he used to be good with the Bucks, now he sucks though. Mavs should approach a big man.

The reason we didn't keep PPod was because we had more then enough big men.
Guys capable of playing C: Diop|Dampier|Mbenga|Dirk|Croshere
There is no need to approach a big man unless a no-brainer deal involving one falls in their lap. Last time they brought over someone from euroleague didn't work out well. Anyone remember Rigadoh!

Yeah, but this guy has had NBA experience before he went to the Euroleague. Rigadoh wasnt in the NBA before he was on this team. That makes a huge difference.

Looks like more then enough big guys to me.
There will always be guys capable to playing center. You could just about stick every power forward into that list as well. Dirk CAN play center, but he wont. Croshere wont either. Mbenga's ok, but hes not great. Dampiers good especially on the boards. But wait..... wheres the third string center? Dirk? Croshere? And think about Mavs future. Is Dampier so young he could play another 4 or 5 years??

You forgot Desagana Diop.
And Mbenga is probably one of the better 3rd string Centers in the league. He very well could have been starting for San Antonio if he didnt want to resign with Dallas.
Chroshere is going to see plenty of time at C too. With more than half the NBA teams not having a center that will kill you in th low post, Chroshere's a perfect player to put at C where he wont get killed inside, but offensively, the opposing center will have to extend to the 3-point line. Guys like Rasho Nesterovic, Franciso Elson, Chris Mihm, Kurt Thomas, Zaza Pachulia, Mark Blount, Primo Brezec, Raef LaFrentz, ect and thats not considering backup C who play just a few minutes...
Dirk can play center and he does. The times when Damp and Diop are in foul trouble he fill in at center. Also when they go to small ball, he will hold the center position. Granted Dirk and the Mavs would rather play him at power forward. But he can and will play center when needed.
Ndudi Ebi is getting a tryout from the mavs of gettig the 15th spot.
Out of all four that are trying out, Ebi has the most potential. He could turn out to be a Kevn Garnett type of player at best

Former first-round pick Ndudi Ebi will be among four free agents competing for a Mavericks roster spot in training camp.
The players and the team have reached agreements on training camp contracts.
Ebi, 22, will be joined by 6-5
swingman Pat Carroll, 23,
and two point guards, 6-2 Darius Washington, 20, and 6-0 Juan Jose Barea, 22.
The four are vying for the 15th and final spot on the roster, assuming the team does not sign a veteran.

He plays center but not for more than 10 minutes. He would play center in a small lineup, but yall have so many center you dont need him to play C.
So basically you are agreeing with what we've been saying the whole thread. The Mavs have enough centers and don't need Ramos. I didn't say Dirk will log a lot of minutes at center. Just replying to your statement that Dirk won't play center. He can, he has, and he will.
