Default can we PLEASE STOP THE TRADE LO7 talk !!!

Lamar has just had his best 10-game stretch in his career. His
stats are great and we won 9 of those 10 games. Acquiring Pau
has helped a ton.....for sure....but LO7 is shooting 61% over this
period.

LAMAR'S NEW ROLE FITS THE TEAM SUPERBLY!!! And we have
a 6'10" SF who rebounds, passes well, runs the break now and again,
........he is so valuable.... now more than ever......

Recently LO7 has been cutting to the basket and getting a lot of dunks.
I love to see this....it helps us so much. He has good hands and can
cause other teams major problems matching up with us.

PLEASE STOP THE TRADE TALKS, He fits our system perfectly.

Well, the trade deadline has passed, so don't you think this is a little pointless?

Agree 10000000%!! I don't even think we should trade him if we don't win the Championship. You cannot put the whole Championship on his shoulders!! He fits this offense PEREFECT .... And honestly, I don't know who else would do a better job as a 3rd or 4th option?!!! Any other player that may fit that role, most likely wouldn't have any better numbers than what Lamar is putting up right now. He just needs to keep up the good work, and keep it consistent!!!.......If he does that ... No trade, not even for next season!!!

I dunno, $14mil in expiring contract is a pretty nice haul for a team that's rebuilding. LO makes too much money, that's no secret, and that's why his name comes up in trade talks a lot.

Because of what he makes, you could get 2 pretty good players for LO. I don't think they need to scramble to trade him, but if another Pau-type offer falls in their lap, I don't think they should pass on it. There are a lot of guys out there making LO money that are much better than LO.

Well.....we are going to need $$$$ to pay Bynum and Jordan soon right?
I hope we can keep LO....he fits in real good ith the team now. I hope we can re-sign him for less you know. But I think there will be some teams willing to pay him more money. We just got to wait and see. I think he knows this team is set up to contend for a couple of championships for the next couple of years. But if he gets one ring will he try to just cash in on what ever team or stay for the glory and get paid less??????

I hope he stays a Laker for life.

lol, this topic just won't go away, but I agree, now that the trade deadline has passed, lets enjoy this stretch run with the guys we have and worry about trades and roster moves during the offseason.

Except for that extra player that we might pick up here in before march 1st :)

has anyone seen Odom is averaging 14.6 points, 12.8 rebounds and 4.5 assists since Gasol's arrival! what do you think them numbers will look like once he is back at the SF with a Bynum return to the line up here in the future?

Less rebounds, a few more assists and points if he can stay on the floor, and probably a lot more fouls. He will have trouble guarding opposing 3's and will be pulled away from the basket more cutting down on his rebounding (plus competing with Pau and Bynum will naturally cut down on the boards a bit).

Being further away from the basket allows him to get more outlet passes and create more for others on the break though, so I think offensively he'll look good but will struggle defensively.

Yeah. Read my post again. I'm talking about the team that would be acquiring Odom would be the ones rebuilding, as that's the type of team that would want his contract. My preference would be to keep LO and resign him for $7-$8mil/year as he is definitely playing well and seems to have found the niche in the system that fits him (finally!), but like I said before, if someone's going to give us another Pau deal for his contract I'll take it.

Misinterpretation error on my part.

No worries, after re-reading I can see why it might sound a little confusing.

He's definitely been impressing since the Gasol trade and the last three games he's averaged 20 ppg.

He's getting ready for the playoffs where he usually steps it up. I can't wait to see how well he does.

I love L.O. personality so I would love to watch him succeed...

Im only worried about how clogged up the middle is going to get with Bynum inside, and Gasol to the side... and I meantion this only because L.O. has been getting much of his scoring from slashing and cutting to the middle...

But it matters not, I rather have the Odom at the four, because of having Gasol and Bynum... than the alternative...
