put phil jackson on a bad team and they DONOT improve..

put scot skiles on a good team and they dont achieve much, swithc positions and thats what there talents show

PHIL the Zenmaster Jackson is amazing at building chemistry and fixing roles with many talented players, he will adjust kobe to bynum and gasol if need be he will have gasol or bynum of the bench to go against other teams easier 2nd units... i dont know but phill will figure it out thats y hes got 9 rings

Seriously Thank GOD we got rid of these three scrubs. Kwame, Cook, and Smush never deserved to wear a Laker's jersey in their lives! The only Laker's jersey they're worthy of wearing are the ones you can get at Target.

Thats with every good coach, look at Larry Brown for example. He was getting nowhere with Philly/AI but after moving to Detroit, he won the championship.

If you don't have the players to back up your plays, you're getting nowhere period.

but what i am saying is there are good player developing coaches, and then theres good coaches who win with talent

many say that phil had mj and pip kobe and shaq but none of those players won anything until phil came

phil like pat riley can only coach very good teams to become gr8! look at all the other really good teams in histroy that never won... coach without talent will not win talent with out a coach who can manipulate the talent into rings is useless..

unfounded and laughable. bynum coming back means everyones field goal percentage shoots way up. its not about individual touches but spacing on the floor. bynum in the low post and gasol in the high post with kobe and lamar as slashers...doesnt sound like theyd be getting worse to me.

yeah ur right. Lakers would be scoring easier and playing better defense with bynum playing along side Gasol. bynum can recieve alleyhoops while gasol has the better post up game.

I know what you mean, agreed. Just re-adding to what you were saying from the beginning.

Have you ever watched the Lakers run the Triangle? Pau is doing it from the high post, while Bynum does it from the low post. They compliment each other really well (on paper). Bynum is going to get a lot of easy looks once he gets back, and Pau's looks are going to be better, with the attention Bynum commands. Win-win.

my goodness, and with all the attention Bynum and Gasol will be getting, you have Odom/Kobe having all the room in the world, ready to attack at anytime and playing loose with Fisher, and a deep man rotation off the bench. Wow..I'm going to get a heart attack...You can guarantee that the Lakers are going to win this year's championship!

The best thing about Drew coming back is the defense and rebounding. He can score as well, but those are the two things we're missing most right now.

I miss the defensive rebounding even more. He was cleaning the glass completely by himself, imagine how good it'll be once he teams up with Pau. He's probably a top 5 five defensive rebounder right now in the league. Top 10 at the very least.

To be specific, the defensive rebounding, blocks, and altered shots.

The Lakers are worse moving Gasol to a more natural position for him and getting 7'1" 64% shooting center with good hands, passing skills, and footwork to replace him at center???? IN-FREAKIN-SANE!
