Default Lakers might lose tonight

I just dont like the matchup. Blazers played tough in LA a few games ago and we are coming off a game last night. Hope the streak doesnt end tonight but I dont have a good feeling about it.

Portland has always been competetive against the lakers. We hadn't beat them at portland for a few years I believe. Now it's time for us to go there and take it from them.

The thought of Drew and Oden going at it for the next 10-15 years makes me giddy--on top of that, you have Howard and that Lebron fellow out East. The NBA is in fantastic shape (well, if you ignore the Seattle situation).

I would put money on a Laker loss tonight. This game just makes me nervous.

Yea...it isn't they have not won over Portland in their court for years already? I HOPE they break that curse tonight with some of Gasol ammunition.

Lakers will not lose tonight's finale for the month of February in Portland the Blazers are really having trouble scoring of late averaging 84 points in their last 8 games. For the Lakers there are incentives to play for tonight with a win we will be 14-1 and riding a 11 game winning streak our longest since the 2003-04 championship season.

Hope they're not looking ahead to Dallas.

They definitely need to play better than last night. Pau needs to have a solid game.

I think they'll be much more prepared tonight.

Tuesday was the first time they played portland all season, so they didn't really know what to expect, and I think the Lakers were caught off guard by their athleticism and physical play.

Now that they've played them once and know what to expect, I think it'll be a more fluid game for our boys. Not to dismiss the fact that wins have been very hard to come by in Portland, but they are possible.

For example, this one, though not an easy win, is by far my favorite:

Haha yeah that was pretty amazing. I remember watching that game in a bar in NYC with two of my Laker hating friends. I went nuts both times. Interesting thing is that first shot. There was someone (a teammate) to Kobe's right, behind the 3pt line WIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIDE OPEN. His defender was inside the paint boxing out Shaq! I hope that wasn't a decent shooter because that was NOT a shot Kobe should have taken when he was guarded so well. Then again, he made it. The second shot though, to win, simply clutch Kobe at his best!

And yes I'm scared about tonights game. Its on the road against a team we struggle with, second of a back-to-back, and a classic "look past" situation since we play Dallas next. Not to mention every team (even great ones) are bound to lose at some point and have off-nights where the ball bounces wrong. I voiced my fear about the 2 Blazers games and the Heat game so far they've performed extremely well. So I'm going to be optimistic and presume a victory, mainly because its not our offense that has been so amazing, its our defense (which is odd because I feel like we are giving up way more offensive boards then we have in the past, although I do notice we are getting way more steals and forcing the opposition into difficult shots even when they penetrate!).

In all of February (14 games) only 3 teams scored over 100 points. Toronto, Orlando, and Phoenix. All good, solid teams, and Toronto only had 101.

Beyond those results, the rest of the games have almost all been under 95 points, and a couple recently in the 80's. That is all very good news for us going forward and with the addition of Bynum it should makes things even better. The best part is when he comes back Ronny can play fewer minutes but be even MORE aggressive then he already is going after blocks because he doesn't have to worry about fouling out.

As a Laker fan, every game is a win.

Why you fretting over these guys? We took them for granted last game, it wont happen again with two of thier better players possibly playing. Plus they play like crap at home lately.
