I just read that he's getting interest from overseas teams like Maccabi. Is this true? Or is this a ploy to give the negotiations a push along as I heard the Jazz are in no hurry to sign him just yet.....
Was it Dee Brown KOC was talking about when he said the jazz hadn't had a rookie in this good of shape since jacque vaughn came into the league? i forget... cuz Dee was ripping it up and running circles around his man last month. Unfortunately, his speed also caused him to go a little outta control and throw the ball away or throw up some crazy shots. If he can learn to play to his strengths, i could see him being a TJ Ford type of player. I would've said Bobby Jackson or Earl Boykins, but i don't think he's as good a shooter yet.
I've watched Dee Brown the last three years. Defender? Big Ten defender of the year honors. Shut down Chris Paul in the Big Ten-ACC challenge a few years back. Slides his feet, surprisngly strong, and anticipates passes as well as anyone there is.
Shooter? Good to great. He has a good shot out to further than NBA range. He's great at set shots, shooting off screens, etc. The reason for his low percentage last year is that he has problems creating his own shot. He does not shoot well off the dribble that an Earl Boykins can do, but when not to be asked to create his own, then he is fine.
My question is, why hasn't he been signed?
