Default D.J. White

I can't find him in any mock drafts. Does anyone know if he is going to get picked? I think he will be a great energy guy in the NBA. ( Like the Piston's Maxiell. )

I think he has a good shot at the 1st round. It seems like he has been in college for 10 years so I think he kind of fell off the map a little bit. He is a little short, but he is a good rebounder, can score inside, and is a physical/athletic defender. The other concern is that he has been injured a lot in the past and hasn't always lived up to expectations. The injuries his sophomore year hurt his development a little, but he just didn't seem to improve at the same rate that other top prospects did.

For a team like the Mavs or Lakers he could be a nice backup who could add some much needed depth inside.

end of first or beginning of 2nd rounds... sean may type player.. not that great.. may wouldnt have gone that high had UNC not won it all... only way White gets picked top 15 is if he leads Indiana to the title game or something

There is more to being an athlete than just running and jumping though. He has pretty quick feet and it pretty strong as well. He won't be confused as a SF, but he is more than athletic enough for the way he plays. I don't think he will be more than a decent bench player, but athletic ability is not as much as a concern as his lack of a mid-range/outside shot, his average hands, and the fact when he gets the ball he can't even find a superstar like Gordon when he is open. I am willing to bet he drives his coach crazy right from the start when he losses the ball so much and doesn't look to make the extra pass. The bad hands may be a concern, but the face up shots and keeping his head up when he has the ball will be fixed with a good coach. I don't see any reason why he won't be as good as another Kelvin Sampson product in Eduardo Najera.

I think if reggie evans can start games in the NBA than there has to be a spot for Dj white who like evans hustles is a excellent defender/rebounder but i would say a better athlete and scorer. Barring injury i can see DJ at his best being like a 8ppg and 6rpg player

Yeah but Reggie Evans (although I appreciate his hustle/rebounding/defense/tenacity) is the worst starting PF in the league. He's a very good role player.

I don't think DJ White plays D or rebounds quite like Evans just yet.
