This was a painful loss for the Lakers, so lets hope that they actually learned a lesson from this... they cannot mail in games.... each game has to be taken seriously and played from beginning to end with intensity. The Lakers just looked horrible on defense and gave up way too many points.

This should be a wake up call for them, so lets hope they get the message loud and clear. They tough have a four game road trip coming up and they must take these teams seriously!

Shame on the Lakers for a crappy performance tonight.

co sign bro..
i'll add i'm glad they lost in the last seconds... if it had been the blowout it was shaping up to be they'd pass it off as a bad night...this way they know, we gave up 71 points in the first half and that's where we lost the game..
not in the second half but by playing such uninspired ball in the first two quarters... the game is 48 minutes long lakers take the first 24 as serious as the second...

Good point gts, i hope it sticks with them... (sorry for my bad sentence structure there)...

The main forum is a mess... Its a shame to see the trolls on both sides just bashing it out.... people who did not even participate in the game thread start showing up to try to throw acid on the situation.... even when you admit it was a bad Laker loss, they still find ways to poison the forum.... oh what fun! :)

Maybe we should have the Laker players read the trolling posts so they can get inspiration from it... HAHA (just kidding!)

agreed. bad part is that its when we had a nice chance to extend out lead over SA...but maybe this is what we just needed for that 4 gm roadie coming up. old fashioned ass kicking tonight, 71 pts at half

hey guys, checking in here on spring break

went to my first ever Lakers game last night as a gift from my g/f for valentines
so that was great, the atmosphere was nice, and I def enjoyed the intro.

About the game:

Kobe looked good in the 1st quarter, and that's about it, for the rest of the way it just seemed like he was cruising through it, didn't play anything special on either end of the floor

Pau looked good, but still a bit soft, he gets into a trap once he turns around into the baseline, because he's just not strong enough to bump out the opposing player to get a good basket, it often lead to a TO or block.

Odom didn't play well the 1st half, in the 2nd half got a couple dunks and played a bit more aggressively to the lane, I'm sure his stats was just fine.

SASHA!!! Guy was on fire, kept us in the game the whole time, shot some BIG 3s when it was much needed.

Overall, Turn over, way too many turn overs off of bad passes, especially from Pau, Farmar and Walton last night. They made the Kings look like the Suns last night off those pick and rolls, easy wide open shots or easy lay ups, and this happened even late into the 4th, just unacceptable. I can't figure out what type of defense is the Lakers playing, it's not zone, but it's def not man to man, but a lot of help defense off of peremiter players, and that also lead to a lot of open 3s

On the Kings, Martin looks good, def look like a promising upcoming young player, the fact that Moore and Hawes were knocking down those jumpers as bigs was what killed us, because we often lead those big man way out by themselves.

Alright time to go and enjoy my SB.

I have a theory to what or why the team is doing this "slackoff" thingy. As cliche as it may sound but maybe they figured "well it's going to get harder on the playoff and since Kings aren't going to likely be in the playoff so they don't have to waste much of their defense effort on the Kings to minimize risk further injury on these non-playoff teams."

Maybe that's what they are thinking...not worth it to get injury with these non-playoff teams and saving energy for last dances. If so it's cool, but the loss would still be good to remind them that even bottom team can beat the crap out of them if there is no defense.
