Default What is going on with Drew Gooden?

I dont care if we re-sign him or not but this is getting old. They keep talking and talking. Lets do a sign and trade to the sonics for rashard lewis and ray allen. Nah but seriously? Has anyone heard of teams that are seriously considering signing him or do we have the edge?

he is holding out for more money. Last report was that they were not close to a deal and were working out sign and trade options. The Cavs are interested in Reggie Evans. I would like to see Drew back. Cavs only offered him a deal which would earn him 6 mil a year. Drew wants more money. He fits the Cavs nicely and improves every year

Look at his stats... They have been up and down since he entered the league.

Really, go look at his stat-sheet... ppg 12.5, 11.6, 14.4, 10.7.
I guess I just don't see consistent improvement with Drew.

He seems to be capable of puttin' up 15/10 but doesn't seem to have the drive...

He could have better stats if he was more dependant on offence on the Cavs. He's a double-double guy when he plays his best and it will cost someone for those services. Yeah, he's got to be more consistent

I personally think he would be better on a different team. His playing style doesn't really fit that well here. I would personally rather have Varejao and the 4 spot but that's just me. I hope they can do a sign and trade here soon. I'm not gonna be really looking forward to having him for a 6 yr 10 mil deal like he wants. Thats ridiculous if he gets paid that much money. I dont know if Ferry would be that retarded to do something like that or not.

Danny Ferry is a smart enough GM to realize that Drew isnt worth that much money, what do you think of Reggie Evans who the Cavs are interested in?

My thoughts exactly.

I think this yr could be a great yr for the Cavs to develope into a team with a great young core.

I can see AV becoming very good. Did u wath him play against US. He handled the ball, passes were insane, rebounded. He reminded me a lot of Rodman in that game. ALOT. Not the rebounder but plays the game so well.

I think Shannon Brown will develope into a serious threat weather a 6th man or if he can become a starter.
Gibson could develope into a solid back up point.

I hope Hughes and/or Big Z up there worth and are shipped out.

Brown/AV/LeBron is goin to be a very good core in 2 yrs.

I think a K.Thomas and 1st rounder is a good deal.

Or maybe we can make a trade with Boston for Theo and a 1st rounder or West

That would be cool if Cleveland could wrestle away DWest from Beantown.

After Boozer left, everyone said Gooden would be the next Boozer and maybe better. To me he's played better and adjusted to the new style of play of the team. They should keep him for a couple years and then rethink about this later.
