Re: We should have traded farmar instead of JCRITT
ABSOLUTELY NOT!!!!!!!! That would have been suicide considering his effort and contribution on this team this yr.... Shouldve traded Luke Walton sorry *** to the black hole, I mean Memphis with Ryan Leaf, I mean Kwame Brown... Heck sign me for half his salary and I can make a better contribution. LOL!
Re: We should have traded farmar instead of JCRITT
Jcrit is the better PG skill wise, but Jordan is the better PG in our system. He knows what he's doing. The few games I saw Jcritt playing as a Laker, he seemed lost and couldn't follow the triangle.

Farmar provides a bit of experience from last year as well. Crit was just a rookie and didn't have much knowledge of the Triangle. He hardly got minutes.. He might have had the potential, but we weren't going to see it this year

Just for commenting's sake....
No way, man.
When you look at the trade to begin with, Kwame and JCrit for GASOL is a no brainer. And the beauty is that you give up two players who did not contribute positively this season. Kwame did contribute but in a bad way. When it comes to JCritt, he was stuck on the bench, and when he did enter the game, he would stray from the offence in an attempt to make a fancy play and score. Plus on the defencive end he would prove futile and foul the opposition since he was unable to play defence and plus hes a rook, and rooks never have the favor of getting positive Ref. treatment.
As a rookie he is undeveloped and unusable to win. Hello? The lakers are looking to win NOW. Not later... assuming that this rookie turns into a solid player.
Farmar on the other hand is a sophmore. He was foul last season as a rook and did not contribute essential play. But looking at how much he improved, he now has the ability to give this Laker team something of value. He can shoot, he properly uses his quickness, and he looks for his team mates. A big reason why Bynums production was raised as the start of this season, was because Farmar would consistently look for him. He also helps Sasha get open looks. And he makes his 3's when KB gets him open looks.
Any more progression from Jordan and we have on our hands a very capable starter for the not so distant future.
Many times even if Fisher is hot, phil still pulls him out, because he wants to get the speed of Farmar in the game. He brings a different dynamic to the game, unlike the non factor that JCritt would be.
If this was a rebuilding year, you keep JCritt.
But with KB, LO, and Gasol on this team you need a productive pg on the squad and Farmar thrumps Critt in that department.
Re: We should have traded farmar instead of JCRITT
lol critt for farmar....
critt is about 2 or 3 years away from being on farmars level if he ever reaches it at all... he's athletic and that's about it...
horrible shooter 41% on the year, horrible 3 point shot 19%
he's a point gaurd averaging less than one assist in memphis although he's getting playing time (16 minutes per game)
the kid just doesn't seem to have a feel for the game yet... it may develop into something special, he's a rookie so i'll give him the benefit of the doubt but to me he looks like another kareem rush...
is this a serious question really? critt instead of farmar?
