France is the most underrated team.
Brazil the most overrated one.
Spain is not bad, France is better.
Only the US will kick France out.
France is the most overrated team in the tournament. If you look at their past record they are an average team. I'd rank Argentina, Spain, Italy, and of course the USA over France. France is a good team, top 10 in this tournament Just not an elite team. They are on the same level as Lithuania, Slovenia, Serbia Montenegro, Greece, and Brazil.
In the past, france had not so many NBA players in its team, so it's a nonsense to judge the actual team on the history ;)
How many NBA players are there in France, 4 ? Diaw, Pietrus, Petro, Parker, and that's it?
And what's the elite championship in the world?
Italy , Spain, Greece, or USA ??
Maybe Petro and Pietrus are not that good (wait and see, one got injured, the other one is very young), but Parker and Diaw are elite players in the Olympic tournament.
Though, everybody sh*ts on the French team.
That's why I said France is Underrated.
What kind of players are there in Greece and Brazil? Barbosa maybe?
And in Spain, Gasol, and that's it?
Argentina will compete w/ france for the Silver medal, they have Gino and Nocioni, who are f*cking good players.

The highest level France has ever gotten too was in 2000 they won a silver medal, thats it as far as I know. I think they came in 4th at a European tournament in 2005, but that is not a terribly impressive record. Not to mention they have had an up and down record so far in the exhibition games.
Diaw is good but somewhat overrated, as far as the NBA goes. He is a great passer but average or below average at every other aspect of the game (in the NBA). He might be a much better player in FIBA, so who knows. And Parker is a much better NBA player then FIBA player, he got benched in last years European tournament right? Mickael Pietrus is injured? Petro is just flat out not that good, and Turiaf has proven jack.
I can't watch Euroleague cause I live in the states so maybe you have a bunch of great French players in the Euroleague, but from what I know France is good just not elite.

I never watch euroleague, so can't say more...
Pietrus got injured last season, but before, he benched Dunleavy. Ok , Dunleavy is not any a good SF, but it proves that Pietrus isn't crap.
And yes, Petro is young... so it's to early to know if he can become a decent player or not.
As for Diaw, he can score, pass, rebound, steal, block. He's an all around player. Phoenix gave him his chance, he caught it.
Maybe Parker is overrated, not Diaw.
But Parker is very good though... two rings init?

Good solid team. Not as good as Parker and Diaw but still good.
Also spain has Navarro, Gasol, Calderon, Garbojsa, Fernandez, Rodriguez, etc.
Ok, not bad for Brazil, but only NBA semi stars. France has 2 stars, Parker and Diaw.
As for Spain, as I said, only Gasol. I like much Calderon though.
