Default Which college stars stepped up or disppointed in the Tournament

Feel free to add people to this topic as the tournament goes on.

Key college players who step up, or disappear, in tournament games.

Kevin Love stepped up and even though they lost Beasly did nothing to hurt himself as the number 1 pick

Stepped Up:
Stephon Curry was money from deep all game, shot his team past a more talented Gonzaga squad.

Michael Beastly beasted his way through USC's deeper frontline. Came up short against Wisconsin, but he and Bill Walker did all they could against a deeper, balanced, and more experienced team.

Joe Alexander led a WVU team, who were thought to be in a transition year, to the Sweet 16.

Sonny Weems showed up for Arkansas with a money midrange game, was the star guard in a game that featured Eric Gordon.

Disappointed:
Taj Gibson was nervous, bobbled a lot of passes.

Eric Gordon did not show up on the big stage.

Jerryd Bayless did not attack enough, effort seemed listless.

Stepped up: Lopez twins Brook, came up huge with the shot to beat Marquette. Robin has become a much better offensive threat and has played fantastic the first two games.
Disappointed: DeMarcus Nelson, shot 3-17 in the tournament games and was Duke's leading scorer and top defender and didn't show up in either game and showed no senior leadership.

And, of course, it helps to give a one-sentence explanation about each player you mention

Obviously I'll be a bit of a homer and say Charles Rhodes (I'm rooting for Miss. State). Dude scored 34, his career high, in a game that Miss. State looked like they were gonna lose, without him stepping up like that, MSU would have probably lost.

Dissapointed: Russell Westbrook. If you saw the game against aTm, you'd know why.
