Default ESPN Mock Draft

http://sports.espn.go.com/nba/lottery2008/mockdraft

The intro is fun. As well, generating the lottery to switch up the teams, and see how good a chance they have to get what picks is pretty interesting. Good player bios, and they actually go by team needs, unlike NBADraft.net.

Draft.net does, they just wait till the end of the season. The ESPN one comes up with the Bobcats at #1 for me too many times, but it's a fun way to spice up a mock draft.

I would pick Kevin Love instead of Randolph if I were Nets GM...

Kevin Love's weight could become a big problem and so could the fact that he's only 6'8" and not very athletic.

Randolph's weight could be an issue too.

I think the Nets have to look to win now if they are going to keep Vince and Jefferson. Harris was a great addition. They already have an athletic big man in Sean Williams, as well as Josh Boone and Stromile Swift. How many long, athletic, big men do they need? Actually all 3 of those guys could be gone by the time Randolph is ready for big minutes in 3 years, so maybe that would be a good idea. Love will bring 3 things those guys don't have. A guy that can pass the ball, a guy that can handle the ball, and a guy that can go inside and out. Plus he is a better low post and outside scorer, and a better rebounder than all of them except maybe Boone. Right now their big men are very one dimensional. Love will add many more dimensions and make them more balanced overall.

I find Nbadraft.net has been off on their past draft predictions. Try Draftexpress.com, they follow everyone.

6'8" is his actual height without shoes.

On the court I would say he is 6-9. So 6-8 without shoes makes sense. He doesn't have freakishly long arms either, so this will be an issue. If he was an inch or two taller, and more athletic, he is the #1 pick. As it stands now, he has a couple flaws, but which draft pick doesn't? His flaws are no greater than Hibbert, Hansbrough, Collison, White, Alexander, Douglas-Roberts, or any other top college upperclassman. The kicker is that he is only a freshman and has more upside than these guys. He doesn't have the upside of Randolph, Thabeet, Batum, Gordon, or Arthur, but considering he is already a better player, you can make the case that he is a lower risk.

i think nbadraft.net just tries to slot someone around when they will be drafted, they don't really pay attention to what teams need. that's just my thinking though, because they sometimes have the nuggets drafting two small forwards or something idiotic like that.

@Nbadraft.net

Toronto getting another small guard? WHY? DJ doesnt seem like a fit.

Cleveland getting a PF? Why not a guy to fill the guard spot? Plus a guy big in fouls

my 2 cents

nbadraft.net doesn't incorporate team needs into their mocks until the season is over.

Yeah, when I saw their mocks at first I thought they were ****ty, I think they had a PG going to New Orleans, but I figured it out somewhere, maybe ISH.
