HOUSTON -- Tracy McGrady belted several pitches over the left field wall and fielded nearly everything that came his way during Saturday's T-Mac Celebrity Softball Classic.
He hardly looked like a guy with a back problem
McGrady, who missed 34 games because of a back injury last season, said Saturday his back is healed.
"I've been healthy for several months now," McGrady said
. "I haven't had any back pain since March. Everyone keeps asking about it, but it's no longer an issue."
The Rockets' leading scorer has hadn't any setbacks since beginning off-season workouts
He resumed shooting drills in July and is going through the same difficult off-season program that he endured last summer.
McGrady said before Saturday's charity event that he felt well enough to hit three homers.
"I wouldn't be playing softball if my back was still hurting," McGrady said.
