"It's definitely fun to implement a new style," Thomas said. "It's an offense that starts with rebounding the basketball. It's a full-court offense."
How is Thomas going to run this offense if you need to play defense first to be able to rebound the ball?
Isiah wants to develop Eddy Curry and have him be an intricate part of the offense and make him into an all-star but will Curry be able to keep up playing a up-tempo game and still be able to defend? Better hope Curry come into camp in tip top shape for the sake of Isiah's job. I see Curry as more of a half-court player and might get left behind in Isiahs full-court offense.
Yes, Curry has to lose some weight if he even want's to dream about high speed offence and Thomas talked about getting him in all-star caliber, which would be creat, but he told he has done the same to JO and Brad. I think Curry is very different type of player and also in my mind should play half court offence, to be an all star (and that is what he could do)

The Jackie Butler saga can go either way, according to sources. The three-year, $7 million offer sheet Butler signed with the Spurs was a lot more than the Knicks were willing to pay. For the Knicks to match, it would cost $14 million, including luxury tax, for a third-string center
And that would be waste of money and do you think Butler could fit in high speed game...hell no.
The teams success will rely on Curry. Even if he only plays 30 minutes, that's 18 minutes to move Frye to center and run. They will need both styles of play to be successful. Marbury will get his 20/8 no matter what.
The new knicks offense should be fun to watch. Isah will raise the knick's sprite and confidence with a consistent lineup and rotation. The new uptempo style will produce more points. His adding the 3 defensive players will help.
Jackie Butler is gone. He was the knicks best center last year. But is not worth what he was offered to the knicks.
The knicks will be better this year. But, Curry's play will dictate how far they go.
Curry has tremendous potential. But, he does have a heart problem! No Curry's heart is not injured; So far, Curry just has not shown that he has any heart!
If Isah can get him to step up consistently, the knicks will make the playoff and even advance past the first round.
Maybe the reason Curry doesn't work hard is because he knows he has a heart problem. It will be a good indication of how good of a season the Knicks will have by how inshape Curry arrives on the first day of camp.
