Yea its easy to say a guy sucks especialy if he hasnt even had the chance to play or show his potential...i think in a few years, lakers fans are going to be loving this kid and the lakers mangement for pickinghim up...hes young, strong and athletic. I think hes a dwight howard type of player...a big young athletic kid who can be a force on the boards...it takes longer for young big men to develop..In the summer league..he was putting up huge numbers...i just hope he gets more PT so we can really see whta he can do on the court

defintely not howard, howard is lean, sleak fast, quick, he's a PF that can play C. No way Bynum can play PF when he'll prolly b 300lbs in no time.

Bynum is an investment in the future the Lakers needed to make. They can build for the present while developing their future at the same time. This is how you build long term success. They couldn't pass him up. He just needs to be patient, listen to the coaching staff, and work hard on his game. The quicker he develops, the sooner he sees big time minutes on the court.

Honestly everybody...if Bynum works hard and is really improving like the lakers say...i dont know why it is a question at all.

Bynum will be great...noone works hard at something and sux (unless ur taking calculus and triginometery)

Bynum can average one day 25 as a center when he turns like 28...just think of how many seasons he can play assuming he retires at 40...

thats 22 good seasons...we can use this guy.

You're right hes not a Dwight Howard type player. I compare him to a Darko Milicic type of player because hes a first round pick also. Darko almost the same size as Bynum. Bynums luckier hes in a better atmosphere where he actually has a chance. Milicic is now on a better team where he is starting and will do better. I hope Bynum gets and opportunity like that with the Lakers.

i agree w/ the darko thing n ithink the better the lakers become, the less his opportunities h'll have, just like darko, our only option might b a trade as well.

Thanks for agreeing with my reply, but part of the reason I put it wasnt to say he should be traded. I think he should do the same thing with the Lakers.

Well after seeing Bynums game in the summer league i think he'll be really good in the future. He's only 18 right now, wont have a BIG chance to prove his game. But it will slowly progress as he ages.

Well no, Bynum is more athletic and Versatile than Diop so Bynum can do more. What Bynum brings is strength, Low post moves that will be perfected soon, and the fact he is very young and he can be with us a very long time.

I am pretty sure after the captain's Duties are done he will be a complete Center.

You're right they will be perfected because hes got Kareem. Isnt he going to Hakeems Big Man Camp?
