That practice seems to work well for Kansas. They did the same thing with Mario Chalmers, hiring his dad to be the director of basketball operations.
Kind of a questionable practice in general if you ask me, but if the parent/mentor/friend you're hiring can do the job, then go for it. Especially if it pays off with a national championship.
Didn't work so well for Indiana this year, though.
Anyway, about Larry Brown taking over at Kansas...I don't see it. If Self leaves for Oklahoma State- and I think there's a good chance he does- do you think they're going to replace a notorious job-hopper in Self with the most notorious job-hopper of all time in Brown?
