Question Finding the Right One

Hello Everyone,

Newbie here on the board. Glad to be here.

I am 29 and just recently got back into playing rec ball, and trying to get back into shape to play competetively in some leagues. I am guard and my game is more running off of screens to get my shot than breaking someone down 1 on 1. I make alot of quick cuts off screens , and when I cannot get free outside I go to the post for a few moves. I am not explosive (although I am trying new plyometric work outs that will help that) That being said, Im looking for the right shoe. I own the Jordan 12.5's and they seem to cut into my ankles which is a nuisance. I also own Jordan Mens Star Rising, which I really like but I only have the Carolina Blue / White... but wanting to get some new gear. I need something with a good cushioning system , I have virtually no arch and use gel insoles. I was recently told stay away from the Adiprene System in Adidas, a salesman in ***** Sporting Goods stated the system was like a pillow, at first step it feels great but once the "air" is let out it stays out and gives no support. Not sure if there is any truth to that.

So , all of that being said, if any of you have tried Nike, Adidas, Reebok, or even the new Pony let me know with the information you are given what you would choose... what sneaker would you buy? I want to make an educated selection! Any help is GREATLY appreciated. I have looked in other threads but not alot of help is given and I think shoes are kind of subjective anyways, so anyone in the same lines of game play as mine can give some input on what to buy, thanks again.

God bless.

I don't know, I use the Adidas Pro Model TS, seems pretty comfortable and lightweight, good grip especially on the crappy floor we use here that has been run down by all the high school ball on it this year. The pair I got also comes with two insoles pairs...one for cushion, which has the adiprene system and the other for heat/temp.

Any other opinions? If not any advice, maybe possibly what shoe you would go out and buy for your next pair. Thanks again as always.

I currently have D-Wade 3s, and the grip is pretty good. There is also a good amount of ankle support, even more so than my other shoes (Melos, T-mac 5), It is a bit heavy but nothing excessive. If you want really light shoes, i would suggest getting the Adidas TS Lightspeeds and they come ind different colerways or possibly the new Iversons (not pumps) which are always good.
