I see DOOM around the corner. (Mavs in the First Round)
Lakers #2 vs. Dallas #7.
It's going down.
The one match up I didn't want to see... But it's going to happen.
I guess I'd rather play the Spurs, because of our recent inner-state
rivalry that we've got going the past couple of years. I think we
might have a better shot against them.
And there is no man I hate more in the game of Basketball than Kobe.
But the truth of the matter is, Phil Jackson scares me more.
Avery vs. Phil = not good for me.
I'll say Lakers in 5 (maybe 6).... Dallas can run with the best of them...
but we can't seem to finish games (maybe because the half court game
is where we f*ck it all up, thanks to KIDD... and this style is used more
in the fourth quarter)
Re: I see DOOM around the corner. (D-Town in the First Round)
Are you concerned at all with Bynum and Ariza being available as part of the Laker roster come playoff time? Do you think that will have a positive impact or negative impact on the Mavs chances?

I hope we get Dallas. We can beat Dallas without Bynum/Ariza.
I would predict Lakers in 7. Dirk is a beast...undoubtedly.
Without Bynum/Ariza (best interior defender and best perimeter defender), I dont think we can beat Spurs over a 7 game series , maybe not Suns either...and certainly not Celtics. Also, I doubt Detroit too.

No offence... but while I do think its fair to be afraid if the Lakers meet up with Spurs, Detroit, and the Celtics... I dont think it would be reason to panic...
I dont image it unfathomable that the Lakers can succeed, a difficult task yes.. but not un-imaginable...

I believe we can beat Detroit without Bynum/Ariza and possibly even Spurs. Outside of Duncan, Spurs don't have great inside presence, which we all saw yesterday. Kurt Thomas doesn't provide the inside presence that I thought he was going to. Thomas is playing pretty bad in the Spurs system for some reason and his defense was slacking yesterday as well.
Anyways, without Bynum, I would rather play Spurs than Suns. Suns are very dangerous regardless of what people think. I don't want to play against Shaq just yet without Bynum. If we had Bynum, I wouldn't be scared to play ANY team regardless of who they got in the low post. Gasol wouldn't be able to hold back Shaq imo BUT Gasol CAN put Shaq in foul trouble much easier than Duncan. I guess it all depends on which way you look at it; it's all about bringing out A game. If we bring our A game, we can beat any of these teams.
