Default Biggest Game of the Regular Season

Lakers and Hornets!

This is not a Gamecast! I repeat, this is not a Gamecast!

It is however a place to post your predictions, keys to victory, and other relevant info. Let's also try and forget about the whole Bynum thing for a bit.

I expect a FIRED UP Laker team to show on Friday night. Kobe should get around 33 points with 6 assists and 7 rebounds. Pau goes for 25/10. Our X-factor is Odom, he needs to take advantage of his size and quickness and get at least a double-double. We will also need at least one of our better 3pt shooters to be hot in order to spread the floor for Kobe and Lamar. If Pau gets doubled at any point guys need to look to cut to the basket--not camp out on the perimeter (this means you Lamar, Vlad, Farmar, etc.). Oh yeah and when Ronny catches the ball 2ft from the basket he should actually attempt to dunk it instead of passing it to the outside!

Let Chris Paul do his thing, but STAY ON THE SHOOTERS! NO open looks for Peja, West, and Mo Pete. And one simple request: STOP THE ALLEY-OOPS TO TYSON CHANDLER! THEY RUN THE SAME FREAKING PLAY EVERY TIME DOWN THE COURT! DO NOT SWITCH! JUST LET PAUL TAKE THE LONG RANGE JUMPER!

For the Lakers: Limit their own 3pt shot attempts (and the short list of people who should get free reign on shooting threes include Vlad and Sasha; thats it!), get to free-throw line early, and beat up NO with our size down-low. Whomever is sticking D.West needs to bring his A-game defense!

Prediction: 102-96 LAKERS WIN!

Love the post, right on man.

I hope the lakers quit cheating around the screens up top too. Fight through them! Stay with your man, no help defense! That is killing us lately.

they should put Farmar on C. Paul, his speed matches up well..

Pau just needs to not rush his offense, and go for his patented baby hooks down low. Dont get caught up in their quick style of play.

We can let paul do what he does but we just need to make sure we keep all of their other great players and Role players in check. We will need to match their intensity right from the start and be able to beat them inside and then take them outside with our three game. This game will be a good game and will come down to the wire, as long as we play as we can we will be able to win this game. GO LAKERS BABY

Yeah, those dunks against teh Lakers the last time they played was severely killing me. I just can't take that anymore. And please.....PLEASE, don't let Peja rain those freakin' wide open 3's on us. I would actually rather see us get dunked on over and over. At least it's 2 points per blunder on D vs. 3! I was seconds away from ripping my TV off the damn wall last time they played. The Mrs. won't even hang with me during Laker games anymore.

And I better not see another Laker opponent get his career high in points against us like tends to happen. Is there a stat somewhere where we can confirm that the Lakers are the all-time philanthropists in terms of jumpstarting opposing players careers?!?!

So Lakers, have some pride and give me EFFORT! This game is HUGE. Don't lay down and get pimp-slapped ( SoCal Mike can do it too if they freakin' lose to them ) by the hornets on your own floor. Let CP3 get his, just shut down those other cats who didn't do squat til he came to town.

Regulators...ride.

keys to victory.
1. play straight up, no double teams, that allows us to stay on the shooters. If CP3 goes for 40 so be it, don't let the others beat us with wide open looks.
2. win the rebounding game
3. win the turnover game

Thanks to the demise of raptorsnation, I will be missing this game. A lesser man would be bitter about this, but obviously I am above all of that. I hope you all choke. Hornets by 20. Cp3 for MVP. Down with capitalism.

No no! Go to the thread "Lakers Links" first page and go to that andromedia website. They will post a link that you can enter into Windows Media Player. That's how I'm watching now!
