Default Here's one for that Mav's fan who keeps butting in!

I am so glad the Mav's lost last year. What really bugs me that
if they did win, Cuban would have bought a championship!!
They are way over the cap! If they had won, how much
pressure would all teams (except NY) be under to use the
same strategy? The cap idea would be shot and the league
would become much more unbalanced.

I'm glad in a way there is so much hype about Dirk....he is not
the player his press makes him out to be. At least 10 times in
every game against Miami, Dirk just stood there or moved out
of the way and let DWade and others get layups. Dirk was
a bit better on D at times last year, but he will not be a
top-5 player until he plays alot better D most of the time.
MVP talk about Dirk is a joke! (right now)

In previous years, Dirk was critisized for his poor D, last year
they saw some actual effort once in a while, people began
to think he really might be a top-5 player, but his D wasn't
there in the finals. Since many of those games were really
close, I say he lost the championship for them! I hope they
never trade him, ever!

It has to burn those Mav's fans up that we still have a player that can light it up on any given night against them. Kobe absolutely torched them last year. Before Kobe was Shaq and before that, well, they were owned by the same crew that owns Home Interiors, Inc. so they sucked anyway.

I personally like Mark Cuban - he provides a lot of entertainment for an owner and plus keeps coming back to L.A. for our washed up talent.

Mark Cuban is an enthusiastic owner. I wish our owner would be like that and show up at our games and scream at refs for a bad call. lol

Default our lifetime record against the mavs

I saw something a year ago about how the Lakers are 48-8 against
the Mavs.....maybe that was the playoffs? I also remember Magic
talking about the Blazers and Mavs (of old) and how they never
worried for a second when playing them. They always knew that
these teams would fold under pressure and give away the game.
Same old, same old.....

Man I wish we had beaten Pheonix, then we would have been in the
finals!!!! Boy the adrenaline would have been flowing bigtime!

I know allot of people hate on Cuban and honestly I use to be one till one day I was watching a Mav’s game and was yelling at the TV “Sit down Cuban you F***ing dumb @$$ stop arguing with the ref’s” then my wife turned to me and said “your crazy you know if you owned the Lakers you would be doing the same dam thing” I sat there thinking about it and sh!t she was right. I was yelling at the TV an inadamant object and he was yelling at the Ref’s. Then I thought if I was the owner of the Lakers and sat court side at every game I would probably be yelling at the ref’s unlike my TV they might actually hear/understand me. So I now like Cuban he is my kind of owner instead of acting like some stuffy business man he is out there acting like a fan yelling at the refs and screaming at his players and the other team’s players it makes for some funny stuff. Although he dose sometimes take it too far like in the playoffs. When it starts to affect the team it time to quiet down just a little.

Default Mark Cuban

I do like Cuban's enthusiasm.....what I disagree with is spending
$30-40 milllion over the cap to win. If they did or do win with this
approach, everyone will have to do it if they want a shot at
winning it all.

I think Stern should quadruple the luxury tax!!!! Make management
earn their salaries.....

That would suck for management. Owner's would start selling their teams.

I think the league thinks that it's a team's perogative if they want 2 have a $100mil payroll, b/c @ the end of the day it's the league that gets the tax money right? Few teams r willing 2 go over the cap anyway n those that do aren't assured championships so there's really nothing worth fixing... plus it wouldn't work if there was just like a $52mil cap n u couldn't do any moves, even sign ur own player that u have bird rights 2 if u were over the cap, so they have 2 give that wiggle room
