Deng probably has more tallent than the entire Memphis roster sans gay.

And that says more about Memphis than Chicago...

They should trade kirk and/or gordon for a 1st round pick.

In the NBA draft pick DJ Augustine (even though it kills me to say it because he's my fav college baller) so that the PG spot is dealt with. and keep hughes so the SG spot is dealt with also.

PG-DJ/Chris Duhon
SG-Larry Hughes/???

Trade Tyrus thomas for a SG and PF

PG-DJ/Chris Duhon
SG-Larry Hughes/traded player

keep deng.

draft a C with a 1st or second round pick

Pg-DJ/Duhon
Sg-Hughes/traded player
Sf-deng/nocioni
Pf-noah/gooden
C-drafted player/gray

shannon brown
cedric simmons
d. nichools

IMO, they need 3 things.

1.) A new head coach
2.) An all-star player who can give them 20+ PPG
3.) A real PG

Thats a lot of things that need to be done. Finding the right coach is diff. enough, but get an all star player AND a point guard. I agree they need all these things but its going to be very difficult to get all 3 of these done. Too bad Deng hasnt turned into the all star they hoped he would

My guess: They will overpay losers and be mediocre for years to come.

O'Neal/Artest + a real coach and competent staff...

Why not? It's a lot better than seeing a team fold and quit every game like they've been doing this year.

I'd pay good money to see Artest kick some ass in practice. Bulls need that kind of attitude. Bring the crazy man back. I'll be damned if I have to Hinrich/Deng try to be captains again. Weak.

They need Lebron in 2010, and I think he can turn the Bulls franchise to a legit contender in the NBA.

Deng is nowhere near Mike Miller, much less Rudy Gay.

BULLS/5 2 3 5 couldn't have written it any better. You can think Miller is better, but to suggest Deng is "nowhere near" as good is stupid. Deng didn't have a great year this year, but he had a far better year than Miller last year.

Deng is mentally weak. I don't want a guy who can't play when it matters most or when you get inside his head. Skills wise and athlelticism wise and defense wise Deng might have more talent than Miller, but his head just isn't strong enough to put it all together.

I see your point. I don't completely agree with it though. Deng is not nearly as mentally tough as us Bulls fans would like him to be, but he does have talent, and he has been a solid player for three years now. Granted, he hasn't blossomed the way the Bulls hoped he would, but I think a little bit of a stretch to take Mike Miller over him. Besides, the original post that you quoted was discussing talent....... and I think we can all agree Deng has talent (all of us not named BULLS that is).
