lakers arent sweeping, AI wont allow it, he showed great effort yesterday... almost every touch he got, he looked like he wants to take it in his hands, sometimes it was good, sometimes he overdribbled but i believe he will win a game for the nuggets

If the Lakers play some freaking D down the stretch, then we'll sweep no question.

The Nuggets played terribly on both ends, they shot themselves in the foot a lot. And the Lakers were brilliant moving the ball offensively too. However, the Lakers I GUARANTEE aren't good enough to take both (maybe not any) of the Nuggets home games. They were 33-8 at home, and some of those losses were in games where they were really injured. They are much better at home.

Don't the Nuggets get it by now? You can't win games on offense alone. Look at how many times the Kings tried to reach the finals with only Doug Christie being a real defensive player. Someone needs to ring a bell in George Karl's ear so he'll wake the fu*k up!

Iverson is no longer the superstar he once was, but Denver really does have the talent to be a threat to any of the powerhouse teams in the West. Sure, Denver is scoring 100+ point games night-in-night-out, but they'll letting opposing teams run all over them!

It's just sad. If it wasn't for that god-awful 22/39 3rd quarter performance, maybe the Nuggets could have done something to take this game down to the wire. Iverson got hot late in the game, but it just wasn't enough. The Lakers shot 50+ % in this game! How the hell you going to win like that!

How is that Gasol trade looking now? Kobe had an off night, and Gasol picked up the slack, all the while the Lakers still win in overpowering fashion. The Lakers look scary right now.

Lamar Odom was the star of this first game. The guy was amazing! Without a doubt, Odom is the X-Factor ..... The Nuggets just can't handle Kobe, Gasol, and Odom all together ..... And actually, a lot of other teams are going to have the same problem.

They cant change the way they play D now in the playoffs. They shouldve realized somewhere around all-star break that they desperately needed to change their defensive mentality. Its not going to change now. Which sucks for them bc offensively, they can stand w/ any team. But they have the worst D in the west so they will not get far.

Im more impressed w/ Odoms play than Gasols play. Odom realy set the table for Gasol on at least 5 layups/dunks. He had our team running. He initiated fast breaks. scored when he needed, and always found the right player at the right time. If Odom plays like he did last game, he will be a tough cover for any team

Sure, Odom is the "X-factor" but Gasol was the real star in this one! If Gasol continues to play at that level, Kobe can play substandard from time to time and the Lakers still have a shot at winning.

Yessir.

Odom was MADE for the 3rd option role. The man is a certified beast right now.

Most important thing.

Last few years, Kobe has a game like that we dont stand a chance. It was brutal watching the other power teams get 25+ pts from 2-4 guys nightly and knowing Odom couldnt be counted on to consistently do that. Now we got Pau, and if we need someone to pick up scoring slack, just use my boy Gasol.

Feels good.

When Odom is playing his A game, it's a wonderful thing to watch. His style of play is so damn unorthodox, you can't help but jiggle inside and say "oh sh*t, did you see that?!" ...
