Question If Kenyon Martin was still a Net...

Everything set aside, contracts, signing, trading and what not...What if Kenyon Martin was still a Net?

I often do this whenever I'm bored..I just ponder about how things could've been with whatever it is.

PG - Kidd
SG - Carter
SF - Jefferson
PF - Martin
C - Krstic

That is one SICK ass lineup on the break....I would've probably watched more Nets games...

Just something to talk about .

More importantly what if Kenyon was never injured, and able to play like his old self? Then that line-up what be sick.

Your right they would be the most exciting team to watch, but it couldnt have happened because of money problems. Martin gets a lot of money, it wouldnt have worked out. But yeah they would have won a championship, easily.

well realistically, the Kenyon trade yielded three #1 picks, two of which yielded Carter... so without the KMart trade, Carter would probably be in New York now (remember Isiah Thomas heavily pursued Vince Carter but Babcock was more impressed by the Nets offer...)

but if you just mean hypothetically... yeah the Nets would run the Heat off the floor.

i mean most people think of Martin as a scorer, but he was actually VERY good on defense. he would guard the other teams best player and play straight up man to man D. he could even guard many quick guards on mismatches. and his shot blocking, though not exceptional, was often a very good tool. Martins weak point was his weak inside game, but with Carter taking most of the shots, Martin would be called upon to play on the wings with Jefferson and get fast break dunk after fast break dunk.

truly sickening if the ALl Star KMart were on the Nets now...

though it would be possible Krstic would stay as a bench player and share 20MPG with Collins and form "Twistic" because more solid defense would be needed in Collins.

Carter reminds me of a better Kerry Kittles on the fast break. He can run to the basket, but he chooses to float out to the 3 point line most of the time and let RJ be the slasher.
