Re: How long till Lebron gets a decent supporting cast?
i really think a good offensive coach would make a difference. they virtually have no offense, it's really get it to lebron and get out of the way...and even that could be done better, as countless times lebron is forced to handle the ball and create 25-30 feet away from the basket.
i mean, it's not like those guys are something out of this world, but IMO a good coach would make a significant difference...and that would be a fastest way to improve the team also since they're in cap hell for another year or two.

No. Carlos Boozer only was a Cav during his first 2 seasons, which is far from his prime, and during those seasons only played 1 year beside Bron who was then a rookie. I don't see how you can use that to down him, or to pretend he has had talented supporting casts during his career.
Re: How long till Lebron gets a decent supporting cast?
He doesn't really need it to make the finals in the East. A one man show is good enough. He could hold out hope for an injury in the finals to get them a lucky win. That's right, they are going back to the finals this year too. It's too bad they can't beat the Spurs, Suns, Jazz or Lakers, otherwise they would be in good shape.

I honestly don't think Bynum will leave Los Angeles. He's in one of the biggest markets and on the team with the 2nd most championships ever. If he reaches his potential he would be a huge star with the Lakers. The Lakers also have a ton of talent.
The Cavs however could get Michael Redd who would be the perfect teammate for Lebron. Redd is a great scorer who is a good enough pure shooter to do a lot of damage off the ball but he can also create his own shot.

Cavaliers Off Season Dream Trade
If we can get Rudy Gay next year. I think the Cavaliers can contend in the Eastern Conference because i was really impressed in Gay's performance in his sophomore season, and this kid is going to be a special player in the near future.
I think Lebron need a legit 2nd option in his team someone that is a bit younger, and a guy who is not afraid to take the shoot in the 4th quarter.
I know that Gay is not in the same caliber as a Prime Pippen, but he is talented enough to average 18-20 ppg along side Lebron because he is one of the best finisher in the league, and he is versatile enough to play 2-3 position when Bron is sitting on the bench.
Re: How long till Lebron gets a decent supporting cast?
As much hate as Redd gets from this forum, I think he would be a great piece to play alongside Lebron. Lebron needs consistent shooting and a guy who needs to be covered. Redd will satisfy both of those. Redd cannot lead a team, which is why he will thrive w/ Lebron. Same thing w/ Odom. He cannot be a 2nd option but when Gasol came, he immediately improved. Lebron/Redd + Z = top contender in the east and better chance of taking the EC

I got a feeling that Michael Redd and Charlie Villanueva would be traded to the Cavaliers next month, and I hope Danny Ferry will considered hiring Flip Saunders as the Cavaliers new Head Coach, and they should let Mike Brown sacrifice his job by accepting his new role as the Cavaliers President of Basketball Operation.
Re: How long till Lebron gets a decent supporting cast?
The Cavs have some big expiring contracts to get a deal done before next year's deadline, so it's possible they could get LeBron some help. The only problem is they don't really have any young talent to tempt other teams with. Varajeo and Boobie Gibson are decent but they aren't really top tier prospects. It's also no guarantee that any big stars will be available for trade. We can speculate that the Cavs will go after Michael Redd or Jermaine O'Neal but they might not be on the block if their teams are in the playoff hunt next year.
So in conclusion, he'll have a decent supporting cast when he signs with the Brooklyn Nets and plays with Devin Harris, Richard Jefferson, and whoever the Nets draft between now and then.
Re: How long till Lebron gets a decent supporting cast?
People will only stop saying that he has a decent cast till he gets a ring. I wont be surprise if the cast this year plus their pick might get them to the finals next year and win it. Hopefully people will realize that this supporting cast isnt bad at all.

Yeah and Shaq also won his first ring at 28 while Wilt won his first at 30. Jordan, Shaq and Wilt are all without a doubt top 10 players of all time so Lebron not having a ring at 23 is no big deal.
