Default Knicks to take on Webber?

Quote:
Still, the 76ers have approached the Knicks (and anyone else willing to listen) about Webber, league sources say, but weren't offered enough to make the kind of deal they've sought to shake up things this summer after several Allen Iverson scenarios fell through.

The package offered by Thomas, who is on vacation this week and could not be reached Tuesday, starts with Quentin Richardson (with his back issues and $33.8 million over four seasons left on his contract) and Maurice Taylor (whose $9.75 million contract expires after this season).

Id love the knicks to get Webber just for the comedic value.

He could actually improve them, offensively and rebounding. Their d would still suck, but they could get the eight seed with him.

webber's deal is actually pretty good.

let him play one more year and give him a chance and he becomes a trading tool.

Why wouldn't it happen? Especially considering the fact that both franchises are being managed by stooges. It's like Little Carmine Lupertazzi discussing business with Christopher.

If Webber really has only 2 years left, then he expires by the time LeBron, Melo Wade and Bosh hit the market.

Send him over. Trade whatever.

C-Webb could really help..Not only by adding veteren leadership, but he can mentor Channing Frye, a poor man's version of Webber.

All those guys are locked up past that time. What would the Knicks do to get them?
