Default What do you think your chances of repeating are?

As long as you have D-Wade and a decent supporting cast then you always have a shot.

I think the Heat have a very good chance to repeat as long as their supporting cast shows up.

though the Bulls played Miami very tough last yaer in the playoffs, and their fans would expet ownage with Ben Wallace and Thafolosha (sp) I think the Heat were downplaying everything to give the illusion of a weak team.

Miami has potential for repeat if... Shaq and Zo show up, cause D-Wade is going to give about 25 to 29 points every night (except when his not playing cause minor injuries), so the dynamic centers are in a big role also (Zo when Shaq is injured). Of course the supporting cast has to play and give them valuable points. And they must continue to defend like in the playoffs.

If all the role players show up like they did in the Finals, then I think they have a real legit chance.

Great.

Due to the fact that there seriously isn't any team in the East who has done anything to flat out surpass the Heat.

i would be surprised if the heat won a second in a row... and no, im not a heat basher... i like the team. i think riley has done an outstanding job to get talent for the supporting cast (much better than cupcake of the lakers).

but some of the key players are getting much older, so it would take an alignment of the planets to keep all of them healthy like they did last season.

Championship next year?

IMO lets say:

Miami: 20%

Dallas: 10%

San Antonio: 10%

Phoenix: 10%

Chicago: 10%

Detroit: 5%

Cleveland: 5%

Others: 30%

I think that the Heat started playing up to their potential in the 2nd round of the playoffs. They played down to the Bulls and got caught up in the frustration of that series. (Heinrich defending Wade was like watching Bowen defend anybody-he claws, grabs, hits, elbows and doesn't get called for it, but it's considered "agressive defense".) The Heat got frustrated by that and all the physical play while not being able to play physical in return(and all the flopping,) , and they got rattled. When they focused, they came through. If they stay focused this year, Shaq will not have to do as much and may be able to preserve his health, and Wade is only getting better. They have a better chance than anyone else-the have the best Center in the league, the best backup in the league, and the best Guard--yes I said it--and reigning Finals MVP. Add to that a little Championship SWAGGER, and I like our chances.

championship swagger isnt always good though, no one is as dangerous as a hungry underdog.

Well gee thanks for your support. lol

I like the heat team too (especially since shaq and Kobe are cool now )

The heat's chances of repeating are about 50%...it will be tougher this year especially since the staff isnt getting any younger either.
