Listen to this nonsense. If this excuse about having less time to get it were about used for any midwest team, it would be absolutely villified by 90% of the media and basketball fans.

What type of bullsh*t is that? Less time...haha.

At least there's been continuity in MVP voting for the past few years. Paul should have got more votes though.

Jamele Hill comes out with an article saying that Kobe does not deserve to finish ahead of Paul. Again, Jamele Hill (you know who) coming up with this at a time when Paul had a 1.5 game lead with 4 games remaining. The whole basketball world thought Paul had it wrapped up (because they thought NOH was finishing first). What you just witnessed was one of the most devastating choke jobs in the history of the MVP race.

Honestly, it should have been over the day Paul was abused by Deron. LA lost at Portland, and it was NOH over LA by 1.5 games. Then Paul has a chance to prove to the whole world why he is the real MVP by outplaying the best player on the 3rd place team on the road. Not only did he fail to do that, but he flat out stunk. The guy shot 4-13 and was carried by Peja three after Peja three after Peja three. Meanwhile, Kobe was flirting with a triple-double and clearly outplayed Paul in the final head-to-heal matchup of the season.

Then you had the game against Sacramento. Keep in mind that Paul still has a 0.5 game lead over Kobe, and he duplicates his April 11th performance at LA with another pathetic 4-13 night. He was carried by West all game long and eventually lost on a Stojakovic missed three.

Seriously, he had a 1.5 game lead with 4 games left. What kind of "MVP" chokes away that big of a lead?

Haven't quite figured out if you're a Kobe homer, or not. I said Kobe deserved the award, but he DIDN'T win it in the last 4 games, you don't get 54 more votes in four games, he had the award won when Bynum went down and the Lakers stayed consistent. End of story.

how do you know he had the lead? because one or two reporters say they think he's the MVP?
nobody really knows if paul was the odds on MVP leader or not, but a look back clearly shows kobe has been a top canidate all year long...
at first is was KG and kobe, then when KG sat out some games and the celtics won without him the talk turned to kobe vs. lebron...but then lebron and the Cavs faltered and the talk turned to kobe and paul, then paul and the hornets stunk up the last ten games and KG was back in it, the one constant throughout the year has been kobe...

I think that is in reference to Paul leading the conference and losing the lead in the final stretch of the season.
