But then theres India, which has the 2nd highest population in the world, but they don't even have a national team, let alone a player that could even compete against some high school players in the U.S. And China, where they have only 2-3 good players in Yao, Jianlian, and Wang Zhizhi.

He also scored 13 points.

Further, he scores thirty five points ppg in the Finals, dismantles Detroit, and plays great throughout the playoffs but it was all "ref assisted" because you didn't like a couple of calls he got against Dallas. As if he scored thirty five ppg on free throws.

But it's all good. You may get fellow Bryant fans and Dallas fans to agree, but good luck getting the sentiment he's a "phony superstar" from a majority of the rest of the knowledgeable basketball community.

I said one can come to a conlusion based on these things. And there is validity to the claims. It isn't just one poor game from Wade. He has alot of terrible shooting games, and even more in effective games in International play.

And what are you on Knoe? He did score 35 ppg off free-throws. He held the record for most trips to the line in the Finals. It's not like he was dropping 50. He was getting major help with calls. Granted, some of them were legit calls. But just as many were fugazy calls. It has nothing to do with "Bryant" v.s. "Wade". Why does it have to be like this when people come in here and make excuses for Wade. I am talking about how bad Wade is as an individual. It isn't just ONE bad game.

Actually India is now number 1. But just because you have a lot of people doesn't mean you'll have a great team. But it does give you an advantage if you are a country that is actually decent athletically.

There isn't only **one** factor. Population is only one of many factors. And the US has an advantage in that factor. The US also has an advantage in **places to play**. That is a huge factor. People in the US can improve their game because their are tons of accessible places to improve their game. Not everywhere in the World has access to improve their game.

if the broke it down by states, you would have those states take the 1-15 spots in the world.

I thought Paul did about as good a job on him as Kirk, neither was really all that effective.

Penetrating guards are going to be very hard to guard after only 3 weeks of chemistry for help defense and stuff. In the international game even more than in the NBA you can't guard a guard man on man without getting called for a foul. Our bigs have to be there in the post.

I think the problem with the defense, was we were looking for turnovers and creating steals... instead of just using foot speed, length, and athleticism to play good solid defense, and keep your man from scoring.
