so do you think not getting harington the lakers could contend for the west finals????? it doesn't matter if a high paid superstar comes off the bench as long as the starting five delivers....

He DID dominate marion. He was very strong against the Suns. You are right that he will have trouble with the biggest PFs...but there are not that many to worry about (duncan, KG, maybe brand). Look at his average rebounds. He's solid.
We are not going to contend for the West Finals until we get better defensively and consistent outside shooting. In my mind, Harrington doesn't bring either. I would not want to be locked into him for $10m per.

but if we got al 4 mihm, our center would not even matter cuz we'd have like the fab 4, bynum would just b like diop, bloking shots, gettin boards, something Im sure he's capable of.

If you guys think Bynum is gonna be like Diop this year, you're in for another rude awakening.

If Bynum is the regular starter, the Lakers are in BIG trouble.

no Kobe at point, no LO at point. get over it. just because it's the Triangle doesn't mean we don't have guard Bibby, Nash, Tony Parker, Baron Davis, Jason Terry, etc (and that's just in our conference).

If we get Al we can have very flexible and versitile lineups. I think Odom can be poing guard depending on what team we're playing but he's favourite position and natural position is SF (I heard him say that in a training camp interview last year).
I know some will say how he played PF so well against the Suns but remember Marion is Sun's PF but when he's matched up against Timmy, KG and Brand he might get abused.
And HELL NO 4 Kobe being PG. This will wear him out too much. He is most effective in the post.

I dont think, no I know we are not able to send only Mihm over for AL. We would have to send over about $7,500,000 in players for it to work under the cap. But you guys are thinking well how come the Pacers don't have to follow this rule? Well they got, what is called a trade exemption, when Sto was acquired by NO hornets. We would need to involve at least if not 2 other teams for it all to work.
