Heat may take Mayo

From Chad Ford's Espn chat.........I think Beasley would be a good fit on the Heat. I think he can play with Marion and Wade. However, it sounds like given the choice, they might opt to trade the pick or ... I'm hearing they'll also seriously consider O.J. Mayo. He's here working out with Dwyane Wade. I think they'd actually be a better combo in the backcourt than Wade-Rose because O.J. can really shoot the ball.

I dont think this is happening. Beasley is a rare talent and is a big they really need. I dont see them passing up on the best player available

If he's working out with Wade and Wade, Riles, and Spoelstra like what they see then I'm fine with it. But if they do that they do need to find a way to trade Beasley instead of just passing him up. Maybe the Timberwolves will offer them something.

Mayo is Wade with half the explosion. That's a stupid pick, doesn't help at all.

They need a PG, not a SG. DWade already has that locked up. If they dont take Rose or Beasley they lost.

Why should the Heat take OJ Mayo? They really need a PG and they have Dwyane Wade as SG. They should pick Derrick Rose...
Maybe they can trade Marion for a starting Center!

not really, mayo has a sick stroke, while wade cant shoot.

i dont think this will be possible... mayo will find it hard to really be a pointguard specially for wade.

davis isnt gonna start... Well if the heat would deal marion again it has to be for something like shaq. that is what they need for the heat to be contenders again. I cant really think of a center for the miami heat if they would deal marion. Maybe brad Miller? Jermain O'neal? (he will be injured again this season) Okafor? its hard.. So i think its best if Marion will stay with the heat.

He's got solid three-point range, sure, but he's not an amazing shooter. They've got similar size and ballhandling ability.

i think the plan would be mayo to play the point and share ball hndling duties with wade..it would make an interesting two pronged attack

So would Rose and Wade. And Rose would take care of the distributing responsibilities that Wade has complained about being burdened with along with scoring responsibilities at least twice this season.
