I hope J.R. will start next year as either a shooting guard or a point guard. I think the more he plays the more he matures and he proved it at the end of last year when leading the Nuggets in the playoffs. He is a good ball handler and is a great passer. If he really works hard he could be like Kobe Bryant in his own right. All I see in J.R. is potential, and nothing but.
The first thing the Nuggets need to do this offseason is resign him long term, I think he a good compliment for Melo and for the future of the Nuggets Organization. With J.R. on the team I feel like we have more great years to come!
you are completly right- the thing that scares me is wondering why the owner would pay huge money(once you take into consideration that every dollar is doubled because of being over the cap) to a player that his coach wont use? minimum of 11 maybe as many as 16-18 million on a player that the coach wont play?
jr is a huge piece of the futre imo- im just super nervous because business wise they either have to use him or trade him now- we know what karl wants
JR needs to be re-signed immediately, but I have a feeling that Karl is gonna do some serious dicksucking to make sure that J.R. is gone. Karl wants another "mature" player like Camby on the team, the guy would probably trade Kobe if he had him, or at the very least stick him on the bench like he does with J.R.
JR will not start next year, Karl is way too much of a control freak. For the sake of JR and Melo I hope they both get traded/released
I'd definitely like to see that. Can't start at the point though. Can play some minutes there but I wouldn't want him playing 25 at the point. JR adds size in the backcourt and instant shooting, 2 things we really need.
G - Iverson
G - Smith
F - Martin
Why Karl hasn't tried this starting lineup for 10-20 games to try it out is beyond me. It's the most logical starting lineup that doesn't include Carter.
I would definitely hope that J.R. can get a lot of playing time because I think if he plays more, he will get better. That is what really pissed me off about George Karl the past few years because he has always hated J.R. for his bad decisions, but that is the point with young players, more playing time for experience will allow him to be a better player overall.
Someone in the media should ask George if he is planning on starting J.R. next year or at least Mr. Stan Kroenke can demand that he start J.R.!
