hughes is staying, no question about it. he isn't quite the perfect compliment, but he can play ball. he'll be a better fit this year as he makes the off season adjustments in his game to fit in better. i'm thinking they let gooden walk and hope to pick up someone who brings it every night. if varejao puts on 10-15 lbs and keeps his foot quickness he can be the man 30 minutes a night. my guess is they pursue a free agent pg since the talent will be thin by the time they draft.

they should trade him. he seems lost in the cav's offense and doesn't fit in their system.

Though, Hughes did miss a ton of games, so maybe he'll fit in better this season.... or not...

Hughes will fit better this season he and LeBron will both improve there outside shooting and playing off the ball.

I would really like to see Mike Brown hire a coach to help the offence. there is way to much stand and watch LeBron. Get Lebron off the ball more and run off screen and posting up. If Hughes handled the ball more he would be getting to the net more. If Hughes did have a better jumper though the trio of Hughes/LeBron/Big Z would be a perfect fit for the triangle.

id say wait to see what he does next season. give em a lil more time to get grieve about his brother and to heal. (but the cavs did better vs the pistons without hughes)

Default I say

Why the hatin' on Z. Leave him alone for gods sake haha. I say they trade gooden, we dont need him. Varejao is excellent and he would be fine in the starting 4 spot. We need to trade gooden for a PG . maybe throw in one of our 2 second rounders with him and get someone great. What do you guys think?

Thumbs up trade hughes

larry hughes just isnt the pippen to jordan deal.

trade larry hughes to indiana for stephen jackson, trade snow to indy for tinsley

make sure you keep Z,Gooden,Marshall,DJ,Varejao

your result is...

Z/Henderson
Varejoa( i liked the lebron,V combo in the playoffs)/Gooden
James/Marshall
Jackson/?
Tinsley/DJ

your result is with mourning and payton gone and shaq a year older i expect a cleveland-dallas finals. good luck LEBRON!

what???!!! Gooden from the bench???!!! this just isn;t working out... Varejao, Z and Gooden, one of them must go... why not...

Larry Hughes + Drew Gooden = Jamal Crawford + Nate Robinson???

then maybe release Marshall... get someone else cheaper... plus Marshall is getting older...

then we'll have...

C-Big Z
PF-Varejao
SF-LBJ
SG-Crawford
PG-Robinson

Bench... FA, Damon Jones, Snow... blah blah blah...

Dude, are you kidding me? You say Hughes is not Pippen to Lebrons Jordan yet you think Stephen Jackson is?? Tell me on what planet is Jackson an upgrade at that position? And why the heck would they trade Snow for Tinsley...why would Indy trade for an aging PG with no offense ? Why keep Gooden anyway? He is redundant in the system, and extremely up and down. Use him to get either a PG or a legit backup center (Jamal Magloire)

He's injury prone since he had injury problems this year? And his percentage will rise give him some time
