Default Why not Scottie Pippen?

I really enjoyed reading Pippen's article about the Bulls earlier this season and IMO if the Bulls can't sign Avery Johnson then why not go after Pippen? Give him a one year deal with an option for a second season if he does well. From his article that he wrote I think he'd be great for this Bulls team. He wouldn't be afraid to bench certain players if he felt they weren't contributing or playing up to their full potential. He really seems like he knew/knows who the true talents are on the Bulls. I think Tyrus Thomas would really develop playing under Pippen.

At least give Pippen the assistant coach job if they sign Avery Johnson or someone else. But really I'd like to see what he could do with the Bulls.

ever since he walked out on the team after jackson had toni kukoc take the final shot, the chicago media hates him so that would never ever happen

I love Scottie but I don't think he is ready. With 0 coaching experience, and with how important this summer is for the Bulls franchise for the next 10-15 years, gotta hire a more proven coach. I do think he should be hired with the orginization and most likely as an assistant. Unfortunately if Avery Johnson gets hired(which isn' the unfortunate part), Avery would hand pick his own staff, just like Skiles did in Miluakee and how Brown is doing in Charlotte. We'll see....

1.8 seconds is exactly why.

I loved Scottie as a player but he never really led the Bulls as a player, with or without Jordan, and I doubt he can do it as a coach.

i wouldn't mind seeing pippen myself, but maybe in the future....he needs to be given an assistant position first instead of being a head coach right away.......i don't think its gonna hurt....we got pete freaking myers as one of our assistants, why not give pippen a chance.......
