That's pushing it BY ALOT! I'm Melo's biggest fan and I hate LeBron (but only cuz his hype makes everyone think Melo's terrible cuz that's the only comparison he ever gets), but LeBron is undeniably a freakish player!

..........................
He is not VC, and will never be Lebron
Carmelo is not athletic at all compared to VC or Lebron, just has Top 5 deadliest J's in the league
i believe he can do more but all they ask him to do is score so thats want u see. hes my favorite player but he needs to get better mentally. lebron and wade has it mentally thats y they are better then him right now.
HE needs to improve on maturity, clutch shooting, and being a better teammate.
He was exposed during the playoffs by Q Ross. Raja Bell and Bruce Bowen
would have done the same too. You cant let other players get under your skin especially in crunch time.
Melo is great, He has one of the best 15-20 ft jumpers in the game, he also is very clutch. He isn't real athletic, but is very quick on a spin move in the post. He actually draws more double teams than wade or bron.
For the BS talk about Lebron not having the people around, wake up into Melos world, he dosn't have a true 15 point scorer on the team with him ''maybe why he draws so much attention'', Bron has two hughes and big Z, not to mention D Jones outside shooting.
Two NBA players asked to carry the most of the offensive load for teams have to be Melo and AI
Kobe dosn't count because he wouldn't let anybody else score even if they could.
Melo still needs to develop overall. He improved last year but still has a while to go. I am still upset that we didnt take melo or bosh. if we took bosh we never would have needed Kmart. Either one would have been better.
If melo can continue to develop and improve his game coming off his last season, we will be in for something special.
He's never going to be the athlete that lebron is, but he can still close in on lebron territory if he further improves his defensive awareness and rebounding.
in terms of numbers, carmelo dosnt come close to lebron or dwyane in assists but it must be said that if the nuggets had other scoring options (in particular from outside the arc) melo's numbers would increase dramatically.
it would also be nice to see him start knocking down his own perimeter shot.
a big ask to see all those things come together in one season, but ill keep hoping and in a the next few years i think melo could really do some damage in the playoffs.

many experts beleive he was the best clutch player in the league.
As for the Glenn Robinson comparison, it not correct.
Similar perimeter game, but lebron has a fantastic post game far better than Big Dogs. and while Big Dog could dunk back in the day, he was not in the same ball park as Anthony athletically. Watch 'Dunks 2' NBA street series and try to imagine Robinson doing that.
Now try to imagine Robinson playing the way melo did in the olympics
