I would say that it is very subjective. For instance, look at say Robert Horry or Derek Fisher. Their numbers themselves don't stand out as amazing. Merely average. But their impact has gone beyond their numbers.
That being said, I think that Ray Allen has definitely struggled in more than a few games in the Playoffs this year, but he has also been big in several games.
The numbers themselves are probably just average in terms of their ranking all-time, but I don't think that negates Ray Allen in terms of having been a huge factor in the Celtic's success in the playoffs.
