first, the financial aspect doesnt work, with KG making more than Amare. I think Phoenix would be tempted to make this trade, but Amare is younger and with the age of Steve Nash, they want their team to stay competitive in 5 years. I think KG would be a quick fix, but then in 5 years when Nash and Garnett hang it up, and Marion traded before hand to stay under the luxury, all you have is Diaw and Barbosa, Bell to lead the team. As much as they want to win now, they should take into consideration today and tommorow.
I am just hoping that Atlanta will be the worst team in the league this up and coming season and Oden will come out of college next year. With ATL's first pick we can draft Oden. Can you imagine, Oden a Sun!
C- Greg Oden
PF- Amare Stoudemire
SF- Shawn Marion
SG- Boris Diaw
PG- Steve Nash
WOW
The Suns would have to give up to much to get Garnett and we need all the key players we have now. Plus the rumours of Garnett to the Lakers are back on.

Atl's pick is lottery protected for picks 1-3 I believe, so even if they really lick nads this year, we still wouldn't get Oden, but it would be nice if could happen.

I thought I read that we got it if it was pick 1 to 3.
No. The only way the Suns get the pick is if its between 4 and 30.
If its 1, 2 or 3, then the Hawks keep the pick. Suns aren't getting Oden.
"The Suns will receive Atlanta's own first round pick no later than the 2008 NBA Draft. That pick which is "lottery" protected (1-14) in 2006, has protection through No. 3 in 2007 and has no protection in 2008."
The TWolves arent trading KG to another team in the West just to help make that team better.
Why would they be concerned with that??? there not going to contend with or without him.
They should take the best offer, trade him now before his value goes down, there rebuilding will be 2-3 years qiucker if they get some young talent now.
If they wait they will get nothing and noone will be happy including Garnett.

Well when you make other teams, especially those in your own conference, better by giving them your players, you tend to get worse. If the other team gets better and you get worse, its harder for you to win games.
If the TWolves are forced to trade KG, he is going East.
